These fans SUCK (in the best possible way!). Noise level is really not an issue, and I'm using twelve of them! I have these 12 fans installed to suck warm air out of my apartment/workspace (lots of computer and video equipment generating a lot of heat). Cool air blows right in through the front door (from the AC-cooled air of my apartment building!) Nice! My own AC unit isn't working well, and getting it fixed would mean a massive upheaval and moving a ton of equipment, so this is a great workaround. I initially bought some cheap 5" fans, which were soooo weak, but after some research I bought these and I really couldn't be happier. A+++
