💡 How to pick case fans
What to look for:
  • 120mm most common, 140mm moves more air quieter
  • Higher CFM = more airflow, higher dBA = more noise
  • Static pressure fans for radiators, airflow fans for cases
💰 Two intake + one exhaust is a solid baseline for positive pressure

★★★★★Great fan, but a headache to get working.
First, I’ll start with how awesome the RGB on these things are. It’s a very bright, very smooth looking LED ring, with 4 LEDs in the center as well (16 total). I have not noticed any noise, even using two as exhaust and they keep it cool at a steady 1200 RPM. I dinged this on installation due to the hoops (and $) you have to go through to set up the RGB. The fan will plug into any sysfan on the motherboard. However, unless you have a jcorsair header, you apparently can’t run these on a regular RGB header. Especially not if you wish to use iCUE. I already had a Lightning Node Pro, but it turns out the fan is a 4 pin RGB whereas the Node only sockets 3 pins. So I then ordered the Commander Pro thinking it would work, but apparently the fan slots are for RPM control, not RGB. So I cancelled it. Turns out only the fan hub will receive the RGB cables. They sell this on Corsair’s site for $10, but I did not want to wait. At the time of writing this, it has already been a week since I ordered. So what do I do? Buy the $130 pack of three fans, a fan hub and a Node. I had only intended to get one, but you need BOTH the hub and the Node to use the RGB... Absolutely ridiculous and expensive. I hate that I endorsed that but these fans do look good at least...

★★★★★amazing, quiet, great airflow, must have for any higher mid range build.
i love these fans, the noise level compared to my old stock rosewill prism rgb fans i had when recording sound clips for my custom keyboards is mind boggling, actually being able to take software control of speed, and color of these fans really makes things a ton easier on me, and the rgb effects themselves are incredible, the fans are super brighter, i didnt wanna spend 100+ for fans for my entire nzxt h70i case, but after finally doing it i see why theyre so much money. worth every dime, the only downfall with these is they dont have rgb rings on both sides like the QL versions have, which i wasnt aware of, so that was pretty disappointing to me when i found out, and i also dont love how many wires and diffrent things fans like this take to function, you need the fan header control hub, AND THE RGB LIGHTING NODE its insane, the cheap rosewill fans i had had a plug that was an all in on, power, and rgb all into one plug into the fan hub and you could control the rgb effects and colors from a restart button on the case if you have one, or via software control if you had the proper header which until my recent mobo upgrade i did not have. but i feel if a cheaper brand like that can stream line the rgb and power into a single plug, their should be no excuse for a brand such as corsair to get away with having so many cables for such a basic function of a fans because when you have a whole bunch of them, it REALLY starts to add up fast and without proper cable management your case will be flooded and cluttered with cables.

★★★★★Really nice fans
As long as you’re ok with using Corsair everything, and using icue, you will love these fans. I don’t love icue, but it is ok and works. The build quality and bright LEDs are great, and if you use a Commander Pro and lighting hub you will have no issues with connection. It’s also cool that you can download more icue profiles if you, like me, hate icue and can’t figure out how to do all the customization yourself. So that’s a plus. Icue does not play well with GPU rgb though, so you’re bound to need at least 2 applications to control all your lighting. I’m forced to have 3 since I also use Razer keyboard/mouse. The rgb situation really is ridiculous, companies need to have a single standard and go with that, because I think part of my issue is all these different rgb control applications running can cause issues when gaming or running other jobs. But that has nothing to do with these fans, just a rant about rgb. The fans are great, just a bit too expensive, but you do get what you pay for with fans anyway. Buy them!

★★★★★Awesome fans for an RGB build like mine!
I went with an RGB build when I decided to rebuild my system this year, and these fans (LL120) AND the LL140 fans are fantastic! Quiet when they need to be, and efficient under gaming use. Easy to control color profiles under Corsair Icue software. These definitely look great in an RGB build! ★★★★Corsair LL Series LL120 RGB 120mm Dual Light Loop RGB LED PWM Fan Single Pack
+1 - Item arrived on time, and not damaged +1 - Item is as described +2 - Super quiet fans, and RGB LEDs look great -1 - No instructions from Corsair for control the LEDs Thoughts: These install like a standard fan. Depending on how you're connecting them is how you'll control them. If you are connecting them straight to a board, make sure your MoBo software supports controlling RGBs. Otherwise, you'll need the Lightning Node Pro - which I was getting anyway since I was controlling multiple fans. My complaint is with Corsair providing instructions. They simply just tell you to go to Corsair software downloads to download the latest software. From there you get the option of downloading a couple different pieces of software. What they don't tell you is that iCUE is the latest rendition of their software, and what you should use. The other option is LINK - which of course is what I went with first. LINK ended up messing up the RGB on my Corsair RAM, but it controlled the fans just fine. After contacting support, is how I found out that iCUE is the software to use. Once i installed that, RAM was good to go and controlling the RGBs on my Radiator, RAM, and Fans was a breeze. So just use iCUE and you'll be good to go.
