amazing fans, I mounted these to a D15 cooler in place of the stock fans and instead of the 2-3C claimed I got like 10C cooler! not sure what was going on there. Only thing I can think of is I wasnt mounting the original fans well enough (maybe) typical noctua quiet, havent tested the durability yet but i'm sure its good ive never had a noctua fan die on me, i had my D14 cooler for over 10 years and the fans were fine i only upgraded to a D15 cuz I felt like I was milking the company with their free backplate upgrade program I love this company and will continue to buy from them any time I need fans! Dont ever change guys!

I’ve been waiting on the release of the 140mm x25 fan, this version features a 120mm mounting pattern, these variations are designated with an ‘r’, and have a round frame style, and are purpose designed as 140mm fans with 120mm screw placement. The traditional square frame version (non-r), which will have a 140mm mounting pattern, has not been released at the time of this review. Scheduled for September 2024. That said, I really wanted to mount these fans on a 280mm radiator. Fortunately, Noctua makes a mounting adapter that, with a little modification (a rough trim with aviation snips), can be cut down to the corner pieces, providing the perfect fit for 140mm mounting points. I’m sure a neater job could have been accomplished with a rotary tool, or even 3D Printing. But for ~$13 adapters, they were cheap enough to just modify. I’ve attached a photo showing the NF-A14x25r on a 280mm radiator, alongside another photo with the 120mm Square brethren, the NF-A12x25 for comparison Side-by-side. And the final put together radiator with semi-DIY adapters.
