★★★★★Noctua Quality, Better Appearance and Excellent Price
For the last 15 years of building PCs, case fans were more or less an afterthought for me. I either used what the case came with, or if necessary, added some cheapo fans I had lying around. Throughout the years I've become much pickier about how my system sounds both at idle and under load. This is where these fans come in. I'm currently doing a major upgrade on my current rig which started with the purchase of a Lian Li Lancool II mesh. To go along with it I purchased a couple of Noctua 140mm fans for the front intake and moved the 3 stock fans to the rear of the case. When I first fired the system up I was a bit disappointed. While the case itself is great, I noticed a bit of a clicking or grinding noise, even at idle. After making sure nothing was making contact with any of the fan blades, I started unplugging fans one by one. Surprise surprise, all the noise vanished after disconnecting all the stock Lian Li fans and leaving the Noctuas connected. Within a couple days I had some more Noctua fans and chucked the Lian Li fans in the spare parts bin. Again, these fans may not make a huge temperature difference vs other fans, but they maintain excellent thermal performance while being virtually silent at idle and very pleasant-sounding even at their max of 1200RPM. Bear in mind there is a point of diminishing returns with fans. If you don't care about a bit of extra noise, 2 or 3 of the higher RPM versions of this fan will be more than enough to cool most systems comfortably while being unobtrusive to most people, especially headphone users. I'm a little strange, so in total I have about 8 Noctua fans including the NH-D15S stock fan, all running at very conservative speeds to keep the noise down and it's mind blowing how quickly air moves through this system relative to how quiet it is. Make no mistake, most of Noctuas products are aimed at enthusiasts and priced accordingly. These fans are different. They're cheaper than a lot of fans from reputable competitors like Scythe, Corsair and Arctic, while being much nicer looking than the OG Noctua brown fans and often way quieter at all RPMs. In spite of being cheaper and not having Noctua's latest and greatest engineering inside, these redux fans are lightyears ahead of most case fans out there. If you hate the way your case fans sound and don't care about RGB bling factor, these are an excellent option. Chances are, these fans will probably outlast the system they're cooling.

★★★★★Quiet, good airflow, better value than non-redux
Would buy again. Like: The grey color blends in with most build better than the tan/brown of the non-redux line or even the black of the chromax line. The RPM range (in PWM mode) is far superior to the non-redux/chromax 140mm fans (see comment below). The price brings them into the range of mid-tier non-ARGB offerings from other manufacturers. Dislike: They don't come with anti-vibration dampers, but you can (and I did) buy them separately. These are in a home office build that I also do light gaming on. I'm running an Intel i5-11400, mATX ASUS TUF Gaming mobo, a Sabrent 1 TB PCIe 4.0 X4 M.2 drive, and an EVGA RTX 2060 KO GPU in a Fractal Design Meshify 2 Mini case. With the additional (and unnecessary) filters removed, these fans are nearly silent. I'm using FanControl with a linear curve and the pair of front 140mm Noctua redux fans are normally running around 500 RPM. Below whisper quiet. I recently build another PC in a Meshify 2 Compact (ATX-compatible) case with an i7-13700K, RTX 4080, MSI Z790 mobo, 5 M.2 drives, and with the black chromax 140mm fans. They had a terrible drone at lower RPMs - something that was apparently a known issue. Fan Control doesn't want to spin them below 800 RPM as well. I should have gone with these redux fans from the beginning and saved a ton of money and hassle. Overall, will buy again and highly recommend for non-ARGB builds.

Pros: - Quality Construction - Extremely quiet - Moves a lot of air - PWM Cons: - Price - Comes with cheap silver screws. Would've preferred rubber screws, but whatever. I'll be honest, I wouldn't have bought this fan if it weren't for me needing a fan that did not exceed 25mm in depth. I usually go for the Arctic F14, which is a great fan below $10, but they're 27mm deep and because of that, they won't fit in the front of my case. I have a Fractal Design Define R4 case which has a screw-less mounting solution for the front intake fans. They're held in by tiny clips and a fan that is too thick won't snap into place. I had Fractal fans in there before hand but they became noisy so the only other company I really thought to go to was Noctua. This is my first Noctua product and I'm very impressed with the quality of this product. It seems extremely well made and it performs wonderfully. I wouldn't have bought it simply because of the price if an Arctic fan could've fit but it is what it is.Popped this bad boy in, set up the fan curve in the BIOS and away I went. PC is scary quiet now. Damn near silent at idle. Everyone raves about Noctua and now I've experienced why. I will update in the future in terms of reliability, my Fractal fans seemed to last about 12-18 months before becoming a vibrating nightmare.

Its a Noctua fan! - That alone usually says everything. The 1500rpm ones seem to be more popular, I'm not entirely sure why, but I got the 1200rpm because I wanted silence. I'm never going to run these things at their max speed. I dunno how people say at full speed these things are 'silent' - Maybe the fan it's self is, but the air turbulence it makes isn't. That isn't the fans fault, thats just physics. I have 3 of them hooked up to a PWM hub, and at ~50% speed they are really silent. Most people when they walked into my computer room couldn't tell the PC was on at first. They are still great at 750rpm, but I am happy I bought these 1200 ones so I could get that much lower. If your chasing that 'Silent' just a fair warning: Much like how the retina of your eye adjusts in darkness to give you better 'night vision'. A similar thing happens with your ears, So yeah in the dead of night you will probably start hearing the airflow, but I find the noise it makes a lot nicer then other fans. Also you'll probably start hearing other components in your PC that your fan noise used to cover up like your PSU's fan, or your HDD. - It will be a battle you cannot win. All that said, I can't recommend these enough! They move plenty of air even at slow speeds, and are quiet. I think the only thing bad I can say about them is that their cables are shorter then my old fans by a good a few inches. This might be problematic in some cases, but in my Define R4, with a PWM hub attached near the 5.25" bay, all the cables of the 2 front and 1 rear fans reached just fine. EDIT: I would also like to confirm something that isn't really listed anywhere. The starting voltage for this fan is just under 5V in case you need to use voltage speed control for some reason.
