💡 How to pick case fans
What to look for:
  • 120mm most common, 140mm moves more air quieter
  • Higher CFM = more airflow, higher dBA = more noise
  • Static pressure fans for radiators, airflow fans for cases
💰 Two intake + one exhaust is a solid baseline for positive pressure

★★★★★Great airflow, clean look, zero connectivity issues so far
I’m using the Lian Li UNI Fan TL Wireless 120 (triple pack, white) as intake fans in a HYTE Y70 case. I originally bought these to match a Lian Li AIO, but ended up using P28 fans on the radiator and keeping these TL fans as case intake instead — and I’m very glad I did. Installation & setup: The daisy-chain design makes cable management extremely clean, and the wireless controller setup has been completely reliable in my case (I've connected to USB controller to a header in my Edge Hub). Despite not being a huge fan of L-Connect as software in general, I’ve had zero connectivity or detection issues with these fans. Performance: Airflow has been excellent. My GPU temps have stayed consistently low, even though the Y70 isn’t exactly an airflow-optimized case. These fans move plenty of air without needing aggressive RPMs. Noise: They’re impressively quiet. Even under load, they don’t produce any distracting motor or bearing noise, and fan ramping has been smooth. Aesthetics: The infinity mirror lighting looks fantastic. I have them mounted as intake (installed in reverse orientation), and because of the Y70 shroud you can’t tell they’re reversed — the result is a very clean, uniform look. The light just looks like a nice dispersed glow coming from under the case. Bottom line: If you want high-quality ARGB fans with solid airflow, clean cable management, and reliable wireless connectivity, these have been excellent so far. Not cheap, but the build quality, performance, and aesthetics justify the price for a premium build.

★★★★★Hands down BEST fans on the market, better than Noctuas!
Simply put, these fans are amazing and have the best aesthetic out of all the options available on the market. They are pricey indeed and your looking at around $400+ USD for most builds if you're looking to fit these fans in. But the costs are well worth it. Everything's simplified through a fan hub controller and the wireless L-Connect 3 USB controller, no need to plug individual fans around the mobo. I do highly suggest you go with the Lian Li powered hub which has a USB splitter which is good for the LCD versions of these fans. Wireless connection is seamless and instantaneous. Quiet operation even around 1800 rpm, perfect for AIO radiators, and the RGB functions are stunning! Can't give it enough praises.

★★★★★TL Wireless - Very Impressed!
Pros: It performs well. Does a nice job of moving air in my case with no discernible noise. Love the new look of the TL Wireless, as I personally like the blacked out center hub vs. the shiny chrome. I also like the colors of the TL better versus the SL. Very easy to connect, but I needed an extension cable for the PWM cable to properly hide the cable as it’s a rear output fan in a Lian Li Evo XL case. Colors look amazing. No issues with the L-Connect software as I’ve read some others have had. Been great so far and looks really nice. Also like the entire Lian Li wireless ecosystem. I also use the 24 pin MB strimer wireless as well as the 8 pin GPU strimer and all connect and sync easily in my experience. More wireless products to come in the future as well. Con(s): If I have any con, it is what many others have likely said. The TL Wireless isn’t truly wireless, as you still need a USB connection for power. However, the RGB is run “wirelessly” eliminating one potential additional cable. One other con is that Lian Li did not launch 140mm versions of these fans yet. I’d like to have all fans in the case as “wireless” to sync with the software, but no date yet as to when they are coming. Poor decision IMO. Using Noctua Chromax Black fans as side and bottom intake until this happens. All-in-all, highly recommend based on performance and visual appeal!
