Why I built this
Most people don't want to become PC hardware experts. They just want to know what to do next. Buy a bigger GPU? Upgrade the CPU? Get more RAM? Or is the whole platform too old?

How the scanner works
The Pro Rig Scanner is a small Windows app. It reads your CPU, GPU, RAM, motherboard, and storage in about 8 seconds. The data comes here, the optimizer figures out the best upgrade path inside your budget — same logic we use at the shop.

Where the data comes from
Bench scores from PassMark. Prices verified daily from Amazon, Best Buy, and Newegg. Catalog updated daily. Compatibility checks actually work — RAM type, GPU length, PSU power, CPU bottleneck.

As of Tue, Jun 2, 2026 the catalog tracks 5,173 products across 30 categories. 3,783 CPUs, GPUs, and storage drives have PassMark bench scores. We verify ASIN data daily through Amazon's catalog and refresh prices every 48 hours.
