★★★★★Amazing case, but not right for all buyers
Other reviews cover the amazing fit, finish, and attention to detail in this case. Let's talk about who should buy this case. I RUN THREE OR MORE 3.5 INCH DRIVES : click 'buy' right now. Period. I TINKER WITH MY SYSTEM AND OPEN IT UP MANY TIMES A YEAR : the flexibility, build quality, parts availability, and overall quality of this case will make you very happy. And you get so many extra parts as part of the package! Buy it! I HAVE SPECIFIC IDEAS OF HOW MY SYSTEM SHOULD BE BUILT : go to Fractal Design's website, download the manual, and read the entire thing. (It's mostly pictures.) Also check out the accessories they sell, like the two different vertical PCI mounts, or the multibracket. If these will work for you, buy the case! I WANT A PERFECTLY SILENT SYSTEM : no, sorry. This case will control system/fan noise while still allowing for very good airflow, but it will never be silent. Consider a fanless case and low-power parts. I WANT A QUIETER GAMING/PRODUCTION SYSTEM : maybe! This case will likely do very well for you. You'll need to play with fan placement and RPM curves, and maybe fan REplacement, but you can find good solutions for extremely quiet setups while allowing for full-blast cooling when needed. But maybe you just want a more open case, like the Fractal Design Meshify, where fans will spin slower and make less noise. Hard to say. I'd choose the Define 7 if you want near silence at idle. Otherwise, do your research. THIS IS MY FIRST BUILD AND I WANT IT TO BE AS EASY AS POSSIBLE : well, here's the thing. Will it be easier and less stressful to build a PC with this case than others? Yes! But if you're not used to building things or working with your hands, then the act of building a PC can be intimidating no matter what parts you buy. It will still take time, and you will still encounter problems that you need to solve to finish the build. If it's worth spending more on a quality case that will make a few things simpler for you, buy this case! Just know that nothing will make the process foolproof. I'M ON A STRICT BUDGET : you should probably skip this and get something cheaper - this case will come with a bunch of parts you won't need, and you rarely economize in the long term by buying expensive cases, so buy a cheaper case and put the extra money towards a good CPU or GPU (or just save the money). I'M ON A STRICT BUDGET, AND I GAME 10 HOURS A DAY : definitely look elsewhere. Choose a highly-rated open airflow case, preferably one that comes with more fans as standard. So, yeah. Consider your needs here, and look at some of your other options. That said, this is an excellent case, and you won't be sad you bought it.

★★★★★Never had a case this nice
This is an exceptional case, and has changed by view on cases. I was used to having cases that were basically sheet metal with sharp edges to keep your computer guts inside. This has an extremely intelligent design and high quality construction. The case is super roomy, has a spot for an optical drive, and plenty of *reconfigurable* space for extras. Want a boatload of drives? Can do. Want a liquid cooling setup? can do. Want more cooling with a perforated top panel - you choose, it comes with a solid and a perforated panel. It has thick sound insulation everywhere. Cable routing is well done with cables coming from under the motherboard, velcro cable holders and rubber grommets on the holes. There are large quiet fans for airflow and all air inlets have large cleanable filters to trap dust. If you need to get in and out, this case is wonderful. Just pull in the right place and the side panel comes off. A lot of cases are "tool free", but that just means lots of fat knurled screws. With this case most major things snap in and out robustly. The only improvement I would make to this case would be a way to remove the shroud around the power supply where the modular cables plug in. I had to cheat by pulling the power supply, plugging in my cables, then installing it like a non-modular supply and routing the cables. Other than that, I used to think the old mac pro case ~ 2010 was really good but this is much better.

★★★★★Great quiet cool case
I bought this to replace a Cooler Master Case. It has tons of room and the space for cabling is great. There was a lot of thought put into this case. There is a lot of room for drives and fans. I bought this because I was looking for a case that was quiet and cool. I have 5 fans inside this case and it does a great job of muffling the sound. It is not perfect but it is so much better than the Cooler master for sound and cooling. I run 8 drives in this case with Unraid. I went fro 120F to 98F. Per drive that is a lot of heat. The air flow was well thought out as well. My only complaint is that there are so many configuration options for this case and it can take quite a bit of time to switch it to the one that you want. The pictures could be better in the instructions that it comes with that show you how to change it. I have never spent this much for a case. You get what you pay for. I will buy more in the future.

★★★★★Tons of Space-Lots of Room for Drives/Fans-Not The Best Airflow
I hate cramped cases. This was a great choice as it has tons of room. I have a 360mm radiator on top and three 140mm fans in front. I placed another 140mm on bottom for more intake. Lots of room for this. The shroud has a removal front section that needs to be removed if you want to run three 140mm fans. With Two 140mm fans you can leave it on. However, with another fan on the bottom, its best to remove it for airflow. The front intake filter is the only reason I gave this case 4 stars instead of 5. The filter has thick fins that angle down restricting airflow. With the door closed and this filter, the airflow coming in is severely restricted. I usually run the door open during gaming sessions, but am forced to leave the filter on as we have pets and I need a filter. However, I am waiting to see if Fractal will address this issue and offer a less restrictive front filter. Once they address that, then it should be a 5 star case. Side panels and top panel are screw-less and pop on/off with ease. Very convenient. Overall, I am happy with the case, but if you want maximum airflow for gaming, I would go with the Meshify Series.
