★★★★★Come on Steve...
This case got a bad rap from Gamer's Nexus and some other popular YouTube personalities (which almost caused me not to buy it). I just really liked how it looks so I took a chance on it. These YouTube channels really need to stop judging every case like it's for the enthusiast crowd. This case was not designed to compete with a gaming chassis. However, the front fabric absolutely DOES breathe! I'm not saying it breathes as well as mesh would, but it's not nearly as bad as these YouTube personalities are claiming. For my Steam console gaming HTPC build, I used a thin Noctua NF-A12x15 fan in the front bottom of the fan bracket, and a Noctua NF-F12 in the top. I did some testing and got the best cooling results when I had the bottom front fan (above the CPU) blow in, and the top front fan blow out (as exhaust). If you have the top front fan blow in, it can impede the hot air exhaust from the CPU chamber. This hot air needs to get pulled out of the case by the big fan at the very top. By having the front top fan push air in, it creates air pressure like a wall of air which can keep this hot air from escaping effectively. The CPU cooler I'm using is a Thermalright SI-100 down-blower style air cooler. In the above configuration, my CPU temps are well within an acceptable range. My GPU temps are great as the GPU chamber is well designed and allows for good airflow (just remember no three slot cards!). In conclusion, you absolutely can build a living-room PC in this case that can play AAA games better than any console (I did exactly that!). It looks great and has become something of a conversation piece. Building in this case is pretty straight forward if you know what you're doing. You may run into some issues getting everything to fit just right but that's part of the fun. Just make smart decisions with this case in mind when picking out all your hardware and have plenty of wire ties available.

★★★★★Looks great
A great case for a simple and visually pleasing home server or pc. You do have to be careful not to get the mesh fabric dirty though. Over all it was easy enough to build in and looks great.

★★★★★A Lovely-looking Case with some Quirks and Heat.
The case's interior design provides flexible options - an option to install 2.5 SSD or 3.5 HDD, install SFX or SFX-L PSU, more flexibility of low profile CPU heatsink choice (or AIO, but you might give up option to install 3.5 HDD if that's an issue), and have (almost) any GPU install with ease. And the exterior shell makes it so the PC doesn't stick out like a sore thumb if you don't want your setup to look like the average gaming case. It's overall genral size, once together, feels like a bigger Xbox Series X - I recommend looking at the dimensions if you are tight on desk space to mke sure it will be good for you.
Currently, my setup as of August 2025 is:
Ryzen 7 9800X3D
Thermalright Silversoul 110 Black
Corsair 64GB DDR5 6000MHz CL30
ASUS RTX 4070
Seagate 4TB HDD
(2x) 1TB NVME SSD PCI Gen4.
Corsair SFX-L 850W
Temperatures for the case are as follows:
CPU:
---51-55C idle and web browsing/videos.
---80-91C gaming
GPU:
---32-40C idle and web browsing/videos.
---60-78C gaming.
NVME:
---55-65C idle and general tasks
---68-75C gaming and/or data transfer
As you can see, both your CPU and NVME will sit at higher tempatures. The fabric of the case, while it gives minimalistic aesethetic, does not allow the case to breathe very well. It *does breathe*, but it is restrictive. You will find that undervolting your CPU is a must in order to get idle temperatures if you do not want it constantly at 90C+. And the NVME is just stuck between both your CPU and GPU, which is normal for ITX builds, but gets further hotboxed with the restrictive airflow of the case - a NVME heatsink may be something you'll want to look into. However, the GPU temperature are amazing - it has its own mesh panel to enable better airflow, and the top case fan being set to exhaust air out takes all the out air out from the GPU side with no problem.
Now, if you are someone like me who still uses a 3.5 HDD, I must warn you now - if you are going to perform maintenance on your PC and have to remove the HDD cage, PLEASE REMOVE YOUR CONNECTORS FIRST. You will break your HDD's SATA connectors if you do not catch yourself on this - ask me, the person building their own PC for 18+ years and knows better, how I know :'(
Overall, IMO this is a nice case. The case's exterior design is what sold it for me, including the ability to still have a HDD and free up more desk space by having a tower design instead. CPU Temps, however, left me feeling it could be way better w/o need of undervolting. If you know the CPU you have will not get as hot or power hungry, you will be fine otherwise.

★★★★★Beautiful SFF Case — Tight Build, Amazing Final Result
This is my case, and I absolutely love it. Building in it takes patience because the space is tight, but once everything is in, the end result is amazing. The finish feels solid and premium, and the fabric design makes it blend perfectly with my desk setup. It honestly looks more like a piece of furniture than a PC case. If you’re willing to take your time, the payoff is well worth it.

★★★★★One Of My Top Picks
The Fractal Mood is getting a bad rep around here in the comments and certain outlets. This is a casual mITX beast, if that makes sense. No over clocking.....no stress testing.....or heavy workloads. Just productivity and casual AAA Ultra settings while gaming....that's it. A Super Console of sorts.
Temps aren't a problem when the Top fan is set to Turbo/High to grab all that heat before it ramps up. Set it to that and keep it at that......no mods...that defeats the purpose of the Mood case.
If Fractal does a Mood 2... I'll be there.
Black color is an off-black color. Not deep black....but that is for the better. A premium 'smart speaker' colorif you will.
Case is easy to build in as usual with Fractal case. Their UX on these products is top notch.
