💡 How to pick a CPU cooler
What to look for:
  • TDP rating must exceed your CPU's TDP
  • Socket compatibility (AM5, LGA1851, etc.)
  • Fits within your case's cooler height limit
💰 Air coolers are reliable and quiet. AIO liquid coolers handle high-TDP CPUs best

★★★★★Coming from a liquid cooler I'm impressed.
23c to 25c idle and 61c to 65c during cyberpunk and other games on a r7 5700x3d. I can't believe that at the price it functions this well and came with thermal paste. It's been almost 10 years since I used an air cooler and i dont think ill go back to an aio.

★★★★★Post Industrial Cooling in the Modern World.
This is substantial I am impressed how quite it is. Easy to install after a few drinks, if you are in a zero G environment. it fits very naturally and only a small amount of lube is required to facilitate the coupling. I've attached the photograph that basically tells the entire story.

★★★★Massive cooler, solid performance, check your case clearance
I swapped out my old AIO for this dual-tower air cooler and was pretty happy with the temps—really close to what I was getting with water, but no pump noise or worries about leaks. It’s a huge cooler, so make sure your case can actually fit it (I had to remove my GPU to get it installed). The build feels premium and the fans are surprisingly quiet, plus it has a clean look if you like the all-black style. Compared to something like the Thermalright Phantom Spirit or Deepcool AK620, performance is similar, but this one can cost a bit more—so it’s a better value if you catch it on sale. If you have a high-end CPU and want solid air cooling, this gets the job done.

★★★★★Not sure on this one
I've been really liking Sama products lately, a power supply, AIO cooler, and a mid tower case. All have been great. To test this, and before bolting it onto my new AM5, I decided to try the most ridiculous looking air cooled pentium g3320T mini itx setup. This cooler seems to have a couple odd things going on - it could just be the specific cooler I received though. Its a little bent out of shape, on one side the alignment is off, if I flex the heatpipes a little it goes away but even fully locked into place on the mounting bracket its off. The plate does rest visibly flat on the cpu lid, but Im not sure if there may be some micro areas not making full contact that will impact small regions or not. It did mount though and kept the cpu temps real low on the T series pentium. The next downside is the very annoying fan mounting clips. I'm tempted to just duct tape the fan on to avoid having to use 3 hands to reinstall the middle fan, which needs to be removed in order to access the bolts of the cooler. This may just be me and my lack of patience, but I have a similar style cooler from a different and no longer allowed brand, and dont recall the clips being so pesky. Once those two things are addressed the cooler works well though. It comes with a rear cpu plate, and brackets for amd or Intel mounting. There is a pretty tight clearance between the braket on one side, where it almost touches the heat pipes, but it doesnt - just super close. Honestly I love Sama and what theyre doing with affordable products lately, however just based on my experience with this cooler I would pass on this specific product. Maybe just a one off quality issue, and it wont stop me from trying anything else from them. Now with that out of the way, this is on an old H81 board which still has OC options in the bios. I'm going to swap cpus and see what blows out first - the vrms on the elderly board or the i5 k cpu I found.

★★★★★Massive air cooler that performs well on high end CPUs!
I've been running AIO coolers for the past 10 years or so on my primary processor but decided to try another air cooler to see how it would function. Coming from a 280mm Arctic Liquid Freezer II, this SAMA dual tower CPU cooler has been very impressive. One of the negatives about AIO liquid coolers is that they typically perform well in the early years but then their performance can degrade if any material starts to gunk up the CPU plate fins or if there is coolant loss. And there's no real good solution for that since AIOs typically aren't meant to be taken apart by the end user. An air cooler like this SAMA doesn't suffer the same fate. You may need to replace the thermal paste between this cooler and the CPU every few years, but otherwise, this will keep working perfectly for years and years to come. You may need to replace the fans, but that is very easy to accomplish since pretty much any 120mm fan will work as long as you get the right width. The width of these are pretty standard and I was able to swap to some alternate fans without any issues so I don't see any concerns here. This cooler is massive and feels very well made. I expect the cooler itself to last for many years. The fans also feel well made but the lifespan of a fan is hard to tell based on initial performance. I got the solid black version. It looks great and I love the functional style of it. Installation may be tricky in tighter spaces so be prepared to install this while your GPU is not installed for an easier time. You should also check your case to make sure that this won't be too tall. There are a bunch of solid air coolers for really low prices. If you have a higher end CPU and want to use an air cooler, I think this could be a really good option for you. However, if you had a mid-range or low end CPU, you could do well with a much cheaper cooler from Amazon and then use the money you save here on other PC parts that will offer better performance. Temps are surprisingly close to my old AIO and I can't percieve any difference in actual performance or sound. What I liked about it: Well made. Good cooling performance for high end CPU. What I didn't like: Questionable value depending on needs. Huge and heavy! Overall, I recommend this cooler if you need this much performance and don't want to go with an air cooler.
