💡 How to pick a CPU cooler
What to look for:
  • TDP rating must exceed your CPU's TDP
  • Socket compatibility (AM5, LGA1851, etc.)
  • Fits within your case's cooler height limit
💰 Air coolers are reliable and quiet. AIO liquid coolers handle high-TDP CPUs best

★★★★★Simple and effective
Why did you pick this product vs others?: Simple to install and keeps my overclocked Ryzen 7 5700G cool.  The highest temperature I have seen was 73 C while playing Spiderman 2 on max settings. Ease of installation: 4 screws already in place and the pre-applied thermal paste made it easy to install, line it up on the holes for the AM4 bracket and screw it down. Fit: It fit perfectly in my tower and did not interfere with my RAM. Noise level: No different in noise level compared to my already installed tower fans.

★★★★★Great Cooler-Replace Thermal Paste
These AMD CPU Coolers work great except the thermal paste almost glues to the CPU. I recently tried to upgrade my AMD Ryzen 5 to 7. Ran computer for over 30 minutes and the CPU came off with the fan heat sink. I had to heat it up with a hair dryer to finally get the CPU to move. Did some checking and this is supposedly a well known problem. Recommendation is to remove the pre applied thermal paste on the AMD Wrath cooler. Then apply a good quality thermal paste on CPU. If you ever have to upgrade or change cooler you will have issues. If already used the cooler with pre applied paste several people said to run stress test software on CPU to get real warm. Issue with coming off with fan is bending or Miss alignment of pins.

★★★★Great fan for $8
The main selling point is the price, and the value proposition for $8 is insane. It comes with the fan, heatsink, and thermal paste. Basically just screw it on and plug it in. Great and easy setup and it fits in a low profile case just fine. My only complaint is that the fan can be a touch loud, but it's still quieter than my GPU and again, $8. No actually, my main complaint is that there is so little metal on the heatsink that it cannot absorb any small, quick frequency boosts. This means that the fan will often go from fast to slow to fast to slow over just a handful of seconds, which can be annoying. Still, this behavior is relatively infrequent (mostly just at system startup), and again, $8. I can live with that for $8. This was used on a Ryzen 5700x, and it worked good enough.
