Originally I had a Be Quiet Shadow Rock Slim that did well until I used it for longer periods of time. Putting that one on and off took a while. I then wanted a white cooler so I purchased the Vetroo V5 White CPU Air Cooler which is a good cooler just like the hyper 212 evo or other entry level coolers but for a 8 core cpu its just enough unless you work from home/stream/play games while the PC is on 16+ hours a day. This is why I purchased again a Be Quiet cooler because the last one worked and handled it but it wasn't white. The slim is now going to my test bench. This Shadow Rock 3 White is a great cooler that has not given me issues so far. The installation took me only 5 minutes to unbox and put on. It took me 30+ minutes with the Slim and Vetroo. TL;DR Pros: -Quiet -low noise even in an air case -Simple to put on, took me 5 minutes -Included screwdriver that will help in the future -temps stay in high 40s and low 50s all day and 70-80s gaming all day/streaming (2700x OC'd) Cons: -the fan included is not white but that's not really an issue. -only 1 fan included for the price

Looks and functions great. beQuiet! is known for high quality products, and this is no exception. Extremely silent fan, and the massive heatsink keeps temps early in check. Also, for those curious it just barely fits in the NZXT h500 case.

Have this mounted on a 10700 (non-k). Is that overkill? Not really. With power limits removed, that thing will suck down 150w+, and this cooler will handle it all day long. Even running back to back CB R20 runs I think it was hovering in the mid-70's. Once you start getting near this cooler rating of 190w and holding there, maybe your temps would be closer to low/mid-80's, but that's a LOT of heat and more than most CPU's people are buying put out (especially under normal use). Oh, and it's virtually silent even at full speed (~1,600rpm).
