💡 How to pick a CPU cooler
What to look for:
  • TDP rating must exceed your CPU's TDP
  • Socket compatibility (AM5, LGA1851, etc.)
  • Fits within your case's cooler height limit
💰 Air coolers are reliable and quiet. AIO liquid coolers handle high-TDP CPUs best

★★★★★A very pleasant surprise!
So my use case for this is in a mATX home server with an 8th gen i7-8700k, 32GB of RAM, NVIDIA Quadro P1000 GPU and approx 100TB of storage. The case is a Fractal Meshify 2 Nano. I have 3x 3.5" drives internally, as well as 2x 2TB M.2 SSDs (Windows 11 Pro on one, and mirror backup of the OS on the other). This server is primarily used for data backups, Plex Media Server and also does a lot of the grunt work for encoding blu-rays to MKV files via Handbrake. The CPU barely ever needs to work hard, and my existing cooler was a well trusted and heavily used 10 year old Coolermaster Hyper 212 cooler. It's an exceptional air cooler. However, as you can see in the original installation the flaw in the plan. It blows warm CPU heat onto one of the 24TB Seagate Drives. I actually had to RMA the previous drive in that location, likely due to heat. Despite the cool temps inside the case, the blowing of warm air directly onto it probably did it no favours. Enter, a replacement AIO! There is no longer warm air onto the drive at all. I have the radiator front mounted, and venting out of the front panel. This is opposite to how most of my builds are since I typically pull air in from the front and out via the rear. Well, this different layout makes sense in this configuration. I will be adding a 120mm intake fan in what little free space is above the CPU. Installation was stupidly easy. I just picked the Intel parts, (Yes, it doesn't say on the listing but it WILL fit a LGA 1151) and then mounted the back plate. I then had to shuffle the top mounted HDD back an inch or two, and finagle the front radiator into place without the fans (micro ATX case, so tight space). Once I had it set just right, I pre-wired the fans and routed their cables and then secured them to the radiator. I reattached the vent panel on the bottom of this particular case for maximum airflow efficiency. Once I connected the 4 pin fan header and 4 pin water pump header, I installed the pump/block itself. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the fan headers are actually still accessible after mounting the pump. These were completely blocked off by the old air cooler. I fired it up, ran some bench testing to verify it was working - as well as see what noise level was like. It's actually pleasantly quiet! Some pumps have a whine, but this one does not. I have used a Corsair Capellix H150i in my gaming build for several years so this is my only AIO to compare with - I have so far been impressed. Just 15c after a reboot from doing stress tests, temps barely kicked up to 19-21c during testing. This is a big improvement over the air cooler. At this price point, you cannot go wrong. Great price, great fit, great compatability. I am happy.

★★★★★High quality aio with great peformance.
It looks beautiful and minimalistic. The aio not only feels premium but also gets the job done by keeping my cpu temps cool i get temps between 45° C - 50°C idle with the highest of 68°C during gaming on a Ryzen 7800x3d in an Asus A32 case. It comes with two high quality fans that are silent even during gaming times. I've used it on mATX and an ATX cases in which installation was simple.

★★★★★Still going 3+ years later
I’ve been running the Cooler Master ML240 Illusion White in my main desktop since September 2021, and it’s still working like a champ. It keeps my CPU temps under control even under load, and it’s stayed quiet and consistent throughout. The ARGB lighting still looks great (no LED failures), and the translucent dome gives it a unique aesthetic, especially if you’re into white builds. Installation was a little fiddly (typical AIO stuff), but once it was mounted, I haven’t touched it since. No leaks, no gurgling, no performance drop, just reliable cooling day after day. It might be nearing the end of its expected life cycle, but as of now, it’s still holding strong. If you're building a white-themed rig and want dependable performance with good looks, this cooler’s been worth every cent.

★★★★★Solid 240 AIO with room for improvement
Good Cooler for the price. However, I highly recommend upgrading the fan if you care more about cooling than RGB lighting. I upgraded the fans to Arctic P12 Pro before wasting my time installing it with the included fans and cooling is ridiculously effective.

★★★★Didn't work for my i9
Not much for my review. This was suggested by PC Part Builder as compatible for my build. My i9 is listed in the build. Didn't cool my i9, and I do mean not at all. Couldn't even boot up my PC with it cause it would shut down immediately. Not sure if it was DOA or just not effective. Went back to my old cooler for the time being.
