Better cooling than a Noctua NH-L12Sx77 for substantially less money, and the motherboard clearance is substantially better, as well. I'm running it on a Asus B650E-I motherboard with non-RGB Corsair Vengeance ram and have a TON of clearance in any of the possible four orientations, and on a 9600X cpu it's idling at a nice and cool 37° C in my Antec Performance 1 M with plenty of clearance from the side panel grid thanks to the under-mounted fan, resulting in very quiet operation. With my overall fan curve set to Silent and running 3x monitors with tons of tabs open and video running it's still at only 49° C on average and the fans only really ever ramp up briefly when gaming during heavy loading. The overall build quality is phenomenal, and the cooler not only looks like a quality piece of equipment, but feels like it, too. Installation was a snap, and it's proven to be a versatile and powerful air cooler for small form factor builds so long as you have the space for its height. A true high-performance value. There's not much publicity about this cooler out there right now, but rest assured that for its use cases this is THE current king of low profile coolers.

Compared to the Noctua L12sx77 this cools 2-3c more however the stock fan is louder. I swapped the default fan for a noctua 120mm fan and found that the performance was then about on par with the L12SX77. Personally I don't think it's better performing but it is cheaper and works just as good so I give it five stars. It keeps my 9700x at 45c while idle and around 55-65c under load.

I was originally using another major brand's cooler very similar to this in my 9800X3D/5090FE SFF build. However, for just over half the price of that one, this ID Cooling IS-77-XT cooler performs and looks much better. The fit and finish of this cooler is highly impressive for the price. The other cooler's heatpipes would bend easily during install, and that was not experienced while installing this one. I am using the Jonsbo T9 case. This would also pair perfectly with a Fractal Terra.

Cooler looks great, functions really well and can keep a 9800x3d fairly cooling during gaming with a not too obnoxious fan curve. Highly recommend. Mounting requires a bit of pressure, but easy to mount through gap in the fan blades.

Amazing product. Decided to utilize the available space in my FLP01 case and replace my IS-67-XT. After comparing all the viable options, I chose the IS-77-XT just to see what ID Cooling's flagship low profile cooler was capable of. To be honest I wasn't expecting much, but my temps in Marvel Rivals for example dropped from 73c to 65c! Was able to use the existing backplate under the motherboard from the IS-67-XT as well and it works perfectly so that was extremely convenient and saved me lots of time. Very happy with my purchase. ID-Cooling rocks.
