💡 How to pick a CPU cooler
What to look for:
  • TDP rating must exceed your CPU's TDP
  • Socket compatibility (AM5, LGA1851, etc.)
  • Fits within your case's cooler height limit
💰 Air coolers are reliable and quiet. AIO liquid coolers handle high-TDP CPUs best

★★★★★Honestly impressed with this little guy (Ryzen 7 7700X)
I’m running this on my Ryzen 7 7700X and honestly, it handles it way better than I expected. Even when I’m pushing it hard with heavy workloads or gaming, it peaks at around 75°C (167°F), which is pretty wild for a low-profile cooler. The all-black look is super clean and the build quality feels premium. If you need to save space but don't want your CPU cooking, this is definitely the move.

★★★★★Noctua's trademark quality strikes again.
I'll start off by saying I paired this with an Intel Core i5-12600KF 3.7 GHz 10-Core Processor and TLDR: temps are great So I was building a PC for a friend that had never had a PC before and really wanted one. I cobbled up a build for her using a spare motherboard I had laying around as a starting point which led me to picking a CPU that didn't have a cooler, but not to worry, Noctua exists and man they just really do make awesome coolers. Installation is actually quite simple, (don't do what I did and unlatch the fan from the heatsink, not a problem or anything, just unnecessary on my part because I had a different cooler from them that did require moving the fans off, but that's besides the point), the instructions are laid out in such a way where it's difficult to really go astray. the visual diagrams are concise and easy to comprehend, and even gives some thermal paste tips for beginners who may not know how much or where to put the paste which is helpful because something like this can be very stressful for a newbie. As for performance, The most intensive game we had on hand was deep rock galactic which can be a very demanding game in some circumstances because of the way it renders, we cranked the settings to max and the game didn't stutter once, more a testament to the CPU but how was the cooling with this performance? stayed pretty consistent at a frosty 60-63C for the hour we ran the game at max settings. The room temp ambience was on the hotter end too with that level of cooling performance, it's winter so we have some heaters running in other rooms and the house contains the heat quite well, was maybe around 75 F (23* C), and like I said, it stuck around 60-63C. well under the 65C minimum average temp CPUs hang around at. Very impressed with this cooler and as always, I'll continue buying noctua products when I need cooling solutions.

★★★★★Low profile and quiet
Used this for my mini server build with a 14700k and it has been very quiet and keeping temps very low. Even at a full load this thing has no issues on its own I have no case fans and it’s very low profile

★★★★★Great upgrade
I have an HP OmniDesk (2025) and I added an RX 6650 GPU and some additional fans. Using the HP stock cooler, under heavy load my CPU temps were hitting the mid to upper 80's Installing this required the mother board to be removed and the old CPU cooler mounts tapped flat, but it was pretty easy if you're comfortable working on components. I found a really poor thermal paste application from the factory, but after installing this cooler I was at 27 degrees idle and maxing out high 60's under heavy load. A little louder then the stock fan but then it's actually working!

★★★★★Best LP Cooler.
This is noctua...the best brand for cooling period. Extremely easy to install and very quite. The black matches my build and the price to performance including noise can not be beat.
