💡 How to pick a CPU cooler
What to look for:
  • TDP rating must exceed your CPU's TDP
  • Socket compatibility (AM5, LGA1851, etc.)
  • Fits within your case's cooler height limit
💰 Air coolers are reliable and quiet. AIO liquid coolers handle high-TDP CPUs best

★★★★★Keeps My 9800X3D Nice And Cool
Running this cooler on my 9800X3D with great results. CPU idles at around 30-35C depending on ambient temps. Couldn't really ask for better cooling on this CPU. Not sure what this other reviewer is doing, but his system definitely isn't set up right if it's idling at 55C. Something's wrong with that. Maybe he didn't remove the plastic peel from the cold plate? No idea. But it's definitely out of the ordinary. He looks like he has way better airflow than I do as well, so I can't imagine why his CPU would idle at such a high temp, unless it has something to do with his motherboard or fan setup. His fans could all be exhausting, so there may be little to no fresh air coming into the case, but it's hard to tell with reverse blade fans being in use today. Specs: 9800X3D ASUS Strix X870E-E Gaming Corsair Dominator Titanium 64GB DDR5 6000 CL30 RTX 3080 Ti (waiting to upgrade this with AMDs next GPU lineup, because I refuse to buy Nvidia anymore) Phanteks Enthoo Evolv X Front intake: 3 x 140mm (Phanteks M25-140 Gen2) Rear exhaust: 1 x 140mm (Phanteks M25-140 Gen2) Top exhaust: Phanteks Glacier One 360M25 G2 AIO I may end up upgrading to the Phanteks Glacier One 360D30 X2 AIO because I prefer the way it looks over this one. But overall, this AIO works just fine. You could MAYBE expect to shave a few degrees off idle temps with a higher end AIO cooler.

★★★★★10/10 would recommend
Works great very easy to install and instructions where very clear and concise can be loud when the rpms get maxed out but they are adjustible

★★★★Not worth the headaches.
This AIO was purchased for a new build. As I was installing the cabling (after installing everything else) I noticed that the option cable to connect to the motherboard instead of the Phanteks Linq6 adapter was missing. I reached out to Phanteks for a replacement. They got back to me in about two days which was ok. They said they would send out a new cable and I didn't have to RMA or remove the unit. That was a week ago... They did print out a label but they have not yet handed it over to USPS. Now I am sitting here with a completed build sitting behind me and no idea when I will be able to use it.

★★★★★Not sure how I feel about this cooler and fans, some plusses and big minuses.
I'm undecided how I feel about this cooler. I don't know if it's the CPU or the cooler itself but temps seem kinda high to me. For reference, I had an Intel 12700k previously with the corsair H150I 360 AIO, and for the most part temps would hover in the mid 30s, low 40s at idle or doing light work, watching youtube, etc. I upgraded to a 9800x3d which has a similar TDP and doing the same things it runs at 55*+ which causes the fans to ramp up and overall makes it much noisier. I am using a phanteks controller and their software to control fan speeds, and while I love the look of the fans and the modularity of daisy chaining them all together is nice, I have 11 fans connected to the 2 ports of the controller and it's a single cable from one fan to the other which controls RBG and fan speed, not the spider web of wires I had with the older corsair fans, (one wire for rbg and one for pwm, so 16 wires for 8 fans) however with these fans, the noise is obnoxious for light tasks. I do know that I hated the RGB fans in my old corsair setup and the Icue software was awful as well.. but these fans and cooler are a downgrade imo. I have 8 phanteks m25g2 fans @ 140mm plus the 3x 120mm ones on the cooler, and for bigger fans, they're louder than my 7x old corsair sp120mm fans. Overall I don't know how I feel about these. I want my pc dead silent unless I'm gaming and that used to be the case before I upgraded. The new fans and cooler are quite a bit noisier than my old setup despite being larger fans.

★★★★Nice cooler overall.
Darn nice cooler. Proprietary Fan RGB/PWR controller stuff is lame. One of my fans is starting to go out after about 6 months. Started clicking on lower RPMs. Could be just bad luck. Performance is VERY good and the value is there for sure.
