💡 How to pick a CPU cooler
What to look for:
  • TDP rating must exceed your CPU's TDP
  • Socket compatibility (AM5, LGA1851, etc.)
  • Fits within your case's cooler height limit
💰 Air coolers are reliable and quiet. AIO liquid coolers handle high-TDP CPUs best

★★★★★be quiet! Pure Rock 3 does the job silently while looking good
This is the first be quiet! Pure Rock 3 heatsinks I worked with. It's easy to install and keeps my Intel Core Ultra 5 250K Plus nice and cool. No problem with noise levels, very quiet. It does come with pre-applied thermal paste. The all-black appearance is a welcomed look in this age of bright lights and rainbow colors.

★★★★★Awesome Air Cooler
Easy to setup and super quite. It kept my i7 CPU nice and cool through every bench test I tried. I would recommend this if your looking to cut down on noise and space without sacrificing cooling.

★★★★★I'm surprised
I just paired this with a Ryzen 9 5900X, I had some doubts that it may not be enough since people in the reviews for the 5900X went on about needing either a monstrosity of an air cooler that takes up a ton of room or a massive water cooler to keep it cooled properly (how far are you guys overclocking this thing??), even after reading into these coolers and their website rating it for Ryzen 9 at 195W TDP. Well, my doubts were put to rest, it idles in the low to mid 40C range and running a stress test and watching it while I was working in ASUS Armory Crate today after installing, the highest I had seen was mid 70C range and I had ran through some more of the demanding stuff to see what it would do, no throttling, no warnings, no blue screens, no problem. I am also not overclocking it and have no intention to do so. It was also pretty easy to install as long as you follow the directions, everything was metal aside from the spacers that fit onto the screws for the AMD mounting bracket. This cooler isn't small either, I have a wider Zalman case and it is just tall enough to where it fits without impeding the glass side cover, but any further I wouldn't be able to get the side cover on, so make sure it will fit your case (my last case on an older machine I had to cut a hole in the cover to fit a larger cooler, bummer). The good thing is that it doesn't block the RAM sockets or anything else on my B550 Plus. I did not want to get a water cooler, and I'm glad this worked out and I'll probably buy more of their products in the future. You may also want to consider buying thermal paste with it, when I got mine it said it was already applied but it was not and thankfully I had some in my desk drawer (I had a tube of Corsair TM30), and I did see some reviews of apparent mishandling of the packaging that caused it to shift and smear paste all over inside the box.

★★★★★Very quiet
Very quiet and efficient at cooling. Just apply some thermal paste and even in my small case the installation was easy and fit perfectly. Looks great with all the lighting I have in my case.

★★★★★Thermal paste comes on the pipes already!
So far so good, Ryzen 5 9600x holding strong: max 68C under load. It jumps a bit when idle around 40c ish, I remember that happening with my last CPU for awhile until the tech settled in. Or my memory is off but it’s the strongest cpu I ever owned. Not a sound coming from the PC at all. I regret not going bigger for the CPU cause of how well this is doing temp wise. I don’t like dealing with water cooling.
