AMD Ryzen 5 9600X

The other reviews speak volumes. The price point is great for the fantastic performance this CPU delivers. It feels wrong calling it a budget CPU when it handles every modern game I've thrown at it, system virtualization for education, graphic and video editing, without any noticeable dip in performance. It stays within temperature spec just using a budget airflow cooler and well thought out case fan placement. I'd say the power draw could be better, but I bought it knowing it's TDP, so I can't ding it for that.

Built a PC myself with this chip. For its price at the time it was great value! Now I can lose my games in 1440p. That's winning in my book

This was 200 bucks and it is fantastic. It runs well. It's super fast for budget CPU. You can't go wrong with this one

Blows my 5950x out of the water in gaming; or rather it would if I assembled the system that this going be in sooner. I didn't and now the whole conceit of the build will be horrendously over budget. If DDR5 ever returns to the price it was three months ago then this will be a sweet piece of kit.
