★★★★★Motherboard won't boot with one of my PCIe cards
This seemed like a great combo when I ordered it. It has plenty of PCIe slots for those who have PCIe cards they want to continue using. The WiFi 7 sounded like a great opportunity to create a fast WiFi access point for VR gaming. However... Windows does not support hotspot creation for anything faster than WiFi 5 for most chipsets, including this one, so I have to wait until MSI and Microsoft can come to some sort of coherence (if that ever happens). And the system completely refuses to boot--or even POST--when my PCIe x1 card is in any slot. I've tried tweaking all available BIOS settings for PCI devices and nothing helped. MSI support told me that they cannot possibly test every possible card to make sure it works. So I'm out of luck. If I'd known my card wouldn't work with this motherboard, I never would have purchased it. I don't know how to make sure any PCIe card will work in advance of a motherboard purchase, but I know I would avoid this one.
