Originally I was upgrading with this Threadripper PRO 9965WX because it had 128 PCIe lanes to accommodate 4 GPUs 5.0 x16 for my workstation build. Then as an unexpected twist, the Threadripper 9965WX combined with my 256GB of ECC are able to handle all of my R Studio analysis while leaving my GPUs' VRAM to handle LLM and SLM. For my particle use case it was just right. I highly recommend.
