★★★★★Great card
I have always had good experiences with the gaming trio cards - they offer an excellent balance of high performance at a decent price and this 5090 is no exception. Best Buy had it in stock for a very reasonable price (all things considered) as well.

★★★★Only get is you need cuda and the vram
I bought this GPU about a month ago. I run Linux on my computer and use CUDA. The vram is great when I am running some MD simulations and some LLM workloads. Previously owning a 4090 and a 5080, this card is a powerhouse. For my workloads I played around with the power limits and clocks. Surprisingly I was able to retain the majority of the compute throughput (90-95% on some workloads) by lowering the power from 575W down to 400W. Dialing in the specs of this card really does make this card shine for my work. However, I did keep records of my past GPUs and this current one. On a performance/compute per watt/cuda core/dollar, the 5080 was the best bang for my buck. I probably should have kept the 4090, and saved myself a lot of money. Or I ought to have bought the 5090 back in October of 2025. Regardless, I needed the vram and the cuda compute so I bit the bullet and purchase the 5090. I would really recommend the 5090 for those that would use the vram and use nvidias core functionalities. Something to keep in mind is that the MSI 5090 is a monster card. I did not want the power cable to bend/kink when I put the glass panel, so I bought a vertical GPU mount to keep it all contained. The case is a 5000x, so this GPU is massive.

★★★★★Quiet and cool with a undervolt
Quiet/cool with a undervolt. I haven’t had any issues with cables melting…yet.
