★★★★★Perfect for Local LLMs - 5060 Ti vs 3060 for AI Work
Got this PNY RTX 5060 Ti specifically to run local LLMs on my ThinkStation P520, and it's been exactly what I needed. At $491 for the renewed unit, it's a steal compared to overpriced RTX 3060s. My Setup: - Lenovo P520 with 64GB RAM - Dual GPU: Existing GTX 1660 (6GB) + new RTX 5060 Ti (16GB) - OLLAMA running in WSL2 on Windows 11 - Total VRAM: 22GB across both cards Real-World Experience: Since I already had the 1660 installed, driver setup was already done - literally plug-and-play. The only hiccup was the power connector location: it's at the far end of the card, opposite from the PSU, so I had to buy an 8-pin extension cable. Minor inconvenience, worth mentioning. Performance for AI: - 16GB GDDR7 is a massive upgrade over the 3060's 12GB of slower memory - Local LLMs load and run smoothly - Heavy-duty build quality, runs efficiently under sustained AI workloads - Dual-fan cooling keeps temps in check during long training sessions Why 5060 Ti over 3060? I looked at RTX 3060s but they're overpriced for 12GB of slower VRAM. Also tried an AMD RX 9060 with 16GB - OLLAMA wouldn't even use it because Linux driver support is lacking. If you're comparing 3060 vs 5060 for LLMs, the 5060 is the clear winner: faster memory, more capacity, better long-term value. Bottom Line: Verified purchase, expert/professional user running daily AI workloads. Packaging was good, card arrived in excellent condition. For local LLM work, this is the sweet spot. Skip the 3060, grab this 5060 Ti.

★★★★★Great Product
Great product. The 16GB really matters for many issues. The slower/limited GPU cores are not as limiting on activities.
