★★★★★The upgrade you're looking for.
My old headset was getting wore out and I came across this one. Probably a little more costly than what I normally would spend but it was within my budget and decided to splurge hoping that it would be worth it. And I think it certainly has been. Immediately I noticed it felt lighter and more comfortable on my head than other products I've used. The bands make it fit snug on my head but the softness of the ear pieces made it so comfortable and I didn't really feel that pressure you can get with some headsets. And it all feels very breathable. I've had issues with old headsets that make me sweat but these I didn't really have that issue with. The Sound took some getting used to cause It wasn't what I was used to. It felt more muffled than other headsets but the sounds I wanted to hear felt more clear and the surround sound feels very genuine. Perfect for fps gameplay. I never really used the Mic, though I like that the option is there and that I can also remove it. Quality item w/ very few issues and I'm glad I purchased it. For me, it was worth the extra I spent over another brand.

★★★★★Durable, balanced sound range, excellent mic!
I've owned the HyperX Cloud Revolver headset for a little over a year now and I am very happy with it. I use these headphones consistently for several hours each day. The audio is very balanced and clear. I've received complements during gaming/Discord regarding to how clear the microphone is. Being able to completely detach the mic from the headset is a big plus! The earpads and headband are fantastic and I do not experience any pain while wearing this headset. However, the (assuming) vinyl earpad covers are not sufficiently breathable. Moisture will build up in and around the ear. You may want to look into some sort of breathable earpad covers if you will be using these for hours at a time. I cannot comment to how effective the 7.1 surround sound feature is as I have not played any games where positional audio is used/well implemented. I just leave the feature turned on as it mostly serves as a volume boost, with maybe a little bit of additional clarity. I did pay full price for these and I still feel it was well worth it. I have not seen these on sale myself, but there are used/refurbished listings that are significantly cheaper. If you get can get them new, and at a discount, all the better.

★★★★Do NOT buy these for more than ~$80
I bought this headset on sale for maybe $80-$90 on black friday, and I've seen it listed around there frequently. Do NOT buy them for anything higher. If I would have paid the $150+ I see them listed here for, I'd be returning them immediately. They do nothing to justify that price. Pros: -Sound quality is OK -Build quality is very good -Mic quality is good -Comfortable for short-medium term use (up to 4 hours) Cons: -Wire is very short. If you're not using a laptop or have your desktop *right* next to you, you'll likely want to buy an extension -Uncomfortable for long term use. Anything over 4 hours and you'll want to take breaks due to how tight the headset is (nonadjustable) I had the cheaper HyperX stinger before, and in comparison, these are just a little bit better. The sound quality here is a touch better, but these are also MUCH less comfortable for long term-use. I never once had to take the Stinger off for being uncomfortable, no matter how long I used it. I really don't think there's much justification to buy these over the Stinger tbh. If I could magically replace these without any hassle and save some money by buying a stinger again, I think I would.

★★★★★Comfy, durable, and sound good for the price
Had these a few years and their holding up as good as the day I got them. I'm just back here because I broke the mic near the connection. My fault being careless but thankfully its detachable and replacements are available at $19 so not too bad. Sound quality is great for the price, bass is a bit heavy bit not to the point of blowing out other frequencies. The 7.1 mode sounds a bit worse like it's more compressed, but I don't have another surround headset for reference to compare it to. Maybe I'm using it wrong, but I just leave it in stereo. "7.1" in headphones seems like a gimic anyway, directional always seemed to work fine in games to me with just stereo headphones.
