Excellent keyboard, might be the best so far. However, if you download the software for this legacy keyboard, it wont work for custom lighting. The keys are pointing to the wrong ones. I did a search on the issue, apparently when they updated the software for some reason, they messed it up. The old version software for compact works fine. Google search for "GMMK-COMPACT-USA software" was what I found to be working for me. Love this keyboard, except the switches. Brown isn't my favorite for feel and sound.

I've owned the keyboard for about 7 months with my previous keyboard being the Razer black widow TE, overall super happy with the upgrade especially since my biggest complaint of my last keyboard being how loud the switches were and it's just nice to not have to be concerned if its audible to other people now. Besides that, everything I enjoyed about it from day 1 still holds true, build quality feels phenomenal especially for the price and since a keycap puller is provided it's very nice especially since the switches are what I would describe as great beginner switches and it being hot swappable having the option to upgrade the switches later on makes it such an amazing starting point to get into keyboard customization with.

Keyboard arrived brand new, not even a speck of dust inside the box. Easily worth the gamble to save $25, this thing is totally pristine. Amazing keyboard and I'm extra happy to have saved $25 on it. All accessories were included(also brand new) and all work as expected. Paired with the 1 year warranty I am extremely happy with this purchase. To keep this review brief I just wanted to cover the "Renewed" aspect, for reviews of the keyboard itself just check the non-renewed listing, but I would say it earns 5 stars for both product rating and the quality of the "renewed" product. It is literally a brand new keyboard.

I do not recommend this keyboard if you plan to mod it. This thing was the biggest pain in the butt to mod. Every single switch was a pain to remove and the stabilizers in this keyboard are not good. They make the keys feel mushy almost like you’re using a membrane keyboard. I would recommend it if you plan to use it as is but only if it’s on sale as it was when I bought it. The keyboard is built good and it’s heavy and also taller than most that I’ve used which is not something I’m complaining about, it still feels good to use. But the key caps are also low ish quality and definitely not something you want to play full price for. So far I’ve had to change the key caps, the switches, and the stabilizers to get my desired custom sound and feel. Recommend buying at sale price if you are not gonna change anything. Do not recommend if you plan to mod it.

The switches are fantastic. The keycaps not so much. Only had this keyboard for a week and the aswd keys are already losing the texture and are mostly smoothed out from moderate gaming. Ordered a pack of HyperX keycaps. Those should hold up wayyyyyy longer.
