Elgato Wave:3 - USB Condenser Microphone and Digital Mixer for Streaming, Recording, Podcasting - Clipguard, Capacitive Mute, Plug & Play for PC/Mac (Renewed)

Ordered this to start making Youtube videos and stream on Twitch occasionally. When I got the microphone I downloaded the Wave Link application on my computer and that's what separates this mic from the other USB mics on the market. I did a lot of research before ordering this mic and Razer makes the only other mic with a program similar to wave link, but it was known for being more buggy. What is wave link? Well, it's a free Elgato application you can download from their website where you can link all of your applications and games on your pc. You can add different filters where you can customize the sounds as well as edit the volume of each individual application. For example while streaming I can control how loud each application (spotify, video game and my voice) is in relation to each other. Not only for the people watching the stream but also I can separately adjust the sound I am hearing in my headphones. An example where this would come up is if I want to hear only my game but the stream chat would like to hear Spotify I can turn the Spotify off in my headphones while leaving it on for the viewers. Now for the microphone itself, it feels high quality for sure. The tap to mute works flawlessly and is amazing to have if you plan on streaming or even just using it to chat. When the mic is muted it illuminates a red circle around the adjustable knob on the front. All in all between the features on the mic and the wave link you will be able to make this mic sound really good with a lot of perks other mics do not come with. My downsides for the mic are things I have for many other mics as well. The original stand is too close to the table and doesn't have a shock mount so you have to be careful not to tap the table too hard or type too hard as you will hear the vibrations. I also would like some kind of pop filter either the foam cover or screen that goes in front of the mic. Elgato also sells a shock mount for this mic. I have ordered the pop filter screen and a boom arm in hopes to fix these few issues. All in all if you're looking for a USB mic I would say this is the one to get for sure! The Wave Link alone would be good reason but the microphone itself is also very high quality to the touch and sounds amazing!

I really like this mic, it's very sturdy and feels like it's really well made. I'm pretty new to video recording so I'm not a good judge of how good the quality is but it was a definite step up from my previous mic. I had no issues getting it to work with OBS and I'm happy with the quality of the recordings. I like that it has a very stable base that can be unscrewed easily so the mic can be attached to my boom arm.

Sound quality is great for being refurbished, price was good, easy to set up and use, can be used for podcast, live streaming or anything you may need a mic for. I’ve been a fan of Elgato for awhile now with their products and customer service

High quality voice and recording. I've used this for YouTube videos and gaming with friends. You get a nice clear and crisp voice with this. Be sure to buy with a compatible plosive windscreen if you can afford to shell out some more money.
