★★★★★Perfect for a wired Shure SM58 microphone on an IKEA sit-stand desk
I had been propping my Shure SM58 on a box, and I wanted a way to position the mic directly in front of me, with the option to slide it out of the way when not in use. The Aokeo AK-55 is a good value for a quality product. I have the non-scratch base mounted to the side of my IKEA sit-stand desk, which lets me slide the mic in front of me when gaming, then slide it off to the side the rest of the time. I use the included 3.5" extender to give extra space above the keyboard, and the extender maintains the solid feel of the Aokeo. There is no impact to the sound quality. It was very easy to set up, and there are set screws to keep everything secure. It's matte black, lightweight metal construction. I recommend the Aokeo AK-55 without reservation.

★★★★★Great Mic Stand: Solid Performance At A Great Price!
I waited a found the microphone arm stand that was perfect for me. I love the metal construction. It's not flimsy. Adjusting the height of the arm is easy and it remains in place to hold my Shure SM7B.
I appreciate the addition of the heightening rod which provides nearly 3.75 inches of clearance over my keyboard. The stand swings into and out of place without difficulty. For the price versus others microphone arms on the market, I highly recommend the AK-55.
One caveat, manufacturers should consider a making the screw clamp base longer to accommodate thicker desks. I had to use my oscillating tool to modify the bottom of the desk to make the base fit.

★★★★★Heavy Duty, very strong mic stand/mount
Very sturdy.
Beefy mount easily holds my MXL condenser mic and I hang/store my headphones on it.

★★★★★Good Looking AND Sturdy!!
I bought the white version, in which I am writing this review for.
The white finish is cheap. It's clear that this is some white powder-coating paint overtop the original, black product. The material is not smooth, instead noticeably bumpy to the sight and touch. Material-wise, this mic-arm is at-best described as "okay"... At least, nothing is flimsy.
The mic-arm is able to hold up my Rode PodMic with no issues. I say this because, the Rode PodMic is ~937 grams (2 lbs.) in weight. Most mics- especially your average USB Condensor mic- are much lighter. As well, the arms have smooth and functional swivel. The only issues are the cable clips... they tend to pop off easily, especially if you try to get tight and tidy cable-management with an XLR cable through its cable sleeve. You need to position the clips in a place that leaves a little cable slack, for movement. Performance-wise, this mic-arm is decent.
Side-Note: I hate when companies design minimalist aesthetic hardware just to slap a bold, black-letter logo somewhere in the middle. Aokeo brands one side of the mic-arm with such, to which I spray-painted a matching matte-white overtop.

★★★★★Worth every penny!
So far so good! It was super easy to install, no screwdriver needed. I was a bit nervous that the arm doesnt fasten more securely on to the base. But the arm and the mic itself are so light weight that I don't think it will be a problem.
The stand articulates and holds up really well and it comes with an extra height attachment piece if you want your mic arm to stand higher off your desk or table top.
I prefer keeping it without the extra height piece because I can then tuck the arm beneath my monitor when Im done using my mic a lot more comfortably.
