There's also the added benefit of dedicated software from the hardware manufacturer. While you can certainly use other pieces of software, what makes the RØDE X XCM-50 Professional USB Condenser Microphone a complete solution is that it comes with the mic, all hardware accessories needed in-the-box and dedicated software. I review microphones and I am also a audio enthusiast and I wasn't really expecting to like this little USB microphone that much but I'm going to tell you what, it sounds quite decent, has some great features and I'm pretty sure your average person would be more than happy with this, it's so much better than what I was expecting. It may not give you professional quality sound but it'll get you pretty darn close, I wouldn't try and use it for a voice acting gig or record professional music with it but you can do a professional YouTube channel or a professional podcast or anything like that and this would be a great choice for somebody looking for a USB microphone
