This monitor is honestly a game changer. The 1440p resolution looks super sharp, and paired with the 300Hz refresh rate, everything feels insanely smooth—especially in fast-paced games. You can really notice the difference compared to a regular monitor. The colors and overall picture quality are amazing too. Games look vibrant and detailed, and it makes the whole setup feel more immersive. In my setup (right monitor in the pic), it clearly stands out next to my other screen. Setup was easy, and performance has been flawless so far—no issues at all. If you’re into gaming and want both high refresh rate and great visuals, this monitor is 100% worth it.

Value for money – This monitor offers a tremendous amount of value for the cost. Typically, you would have to pay a lot of money for a 27-inch 1440p monitor with such a high refresh rate (as high as 300Hz), however this monitor provides similar performance at a fraction of the cost. Build Quality – I find this monitor to be very solid overall. The stand is heavy-duty and the monitor itself does not feel cheaply made; it is a typical ASUS TUF design that is simple yet still focused on gaming. Additionally, the matte finish on the anti-glare screen greatly assists in keeping your eyes comfortable in brightly lit rooms. Screen Quality – Absolutely wonderful. The Fast IPS panel allows for very vivid and true-to-life colors and the 1440p resolution on a 27-inch screen provides a very crisp image. The monitor covers approximately 95% of the DCI-P3 color space, so colors pop in games and everyday use. In addition, viewing angles are very wide and allow you to easily see what is happening on the screen regardless of how far away you are. Performance – This is where the monitor really shines. The monitor is capable of running up to 300Hz with a response time of as low as 0.3ms, providing an incredibly fluid experience while playing fast paced games. It also supports Adaptive-Sync, FreeSync Premium, and G-SYNC compatible modes to provide a tear-free gaming experience even when frame rates vary. Gaming Features – ASUS has included many useful tools for gaming on this monitor. These include ELMB Sync, Shadow Boost, GameVisual presets, Dynamic Crosshair, and ASUS DisplayWidget software which allows you to modify monitor settings directly from Windows rather than using the monitor’s on-screen buttons. HDR and Brightness – It was nice to see HDR10 supported on this monitor. Although it is not the same level of HDR found on OLED monitors, it still adds a bit of extra brightness and depth to certain games. Speakers – I found these built in monitor speakers to be quite surprising. While they will not replace real speakers or headphones, they are convenient if you need quick audio without connecting external devices. Not Crazy About – While the monitor does have a good level of brightness, it is not extremely bright. Like most IPS panels, the contrast ratio is not as deep as VA or OLED monitors. I also found the on-screen menu to take a little time to get used to. Overall – I truly believe this monitor is a beast for gaming. The combination of a 1440p resolution, an extremely high refresh rate, and a fast IPS response time makes everything look smooth and sharp, especially in fast paced competitive games. The ASUS TUF 27” 1440P Monitor is a solid upgrade, offering excellent QHD clarity and a high refresh rate that makes gaming feel incredibly fluid. The build quality is sturdy, and the ergonomic stand is very easy to adjust for the perfect viewing angle. I’m giving it 4 stars because the HDR performance is a bit lacking and the built-in speakers aren't great, but for pure gaming performance and image quality, it’s a fantastic value.

Upgrading from a 1080p 185Hz monitor to this 1440p 300Hz display was a massive jump in quality. Paired with my RTX 5080, the difference is immediately noticeable — games look sharper, motion is smoother, and the higher refresh rate really shows in fast-paced shooters. Colors look great out of the box, and ELMB Sync makes motion incredibly clean.
