This monitory is amazing, it is beyond words can describe! I can't believe the quality of this monitor for the price, it provides unbelievable graphic features and the picture is incredible whether using for gaming or watching movies. I connected this to my laptop and used it for a few hours of gaming and I was extremely impressed with the the brightness, and quality of the picture as it presented images much higher quality than my TV. I could not believe the difference between the two when also playing the same movie on both screens and noticing the better imagery on the Samsung monitor. This monitor has become my new favorite for gaming off my laptop. Normally I would struggle on the smaller screen of my laptop to play games, or try to connect it to my 55in tv that I have my consoles connected to when I need the larger screen. I came across this Samsung 27in monitor and I figured it was worth a shot, but I did not expect the quality it provides for such a low price that it is almost unbelievable of what this unit it capable of. It provide such amazing visuals that it puts my tv to shame! The HDR is better than the tv I normally use, but even in SDR mode it still appears really good. I've never had a high quality external monitor for any laptop or desktop pc's previously, but after experiencing what this Samsung can provide, I now understand the reason why many PC gamers use these type of monitors for gaming as it makes the image much clearer and detailed, and the refresh rate is very high that it makes it easier to respond at a faster rate than with a normal monitor or tv screen. The stand that comes with it is a nice angled stand that helps keep the monitor at a nice height to reduce strain on the neck. The stand is very sturdy keeps still during intense gaming sessions. This is a quality monitor for use on daily pc activities, but it excels for heavy graphical content such as gaming and other media related uses. This is definitely a very budget friendly higher end style monitor that can be used for many tasks, whether a much needed second screen to extend or duplicate from a laptop, or as a primary option for someone who's attempting entry level equipment on a budget and requires a high quality experience, this is definitely a great quality monitor. Having multiples of these monitors hooked up would make for an outstanding theatrical experience for all who use it!

An Impressive Value-oriented monitor Tested with both my (multiple) Macs I am pleasantly surprised by this monitor. It offers a strong feature set at it's price point, particularly for those who balance productivity with some gaming. The "Retina" Comparison (Clarity & Text) As a Mac user, my benchmark is usually a Retina display. Here is how this monitor stacks up: * This device vs. M1 Max / M3 Air Retina: It isn't nearly as crisp as a native Retina display (the M1 Max is the clearest). * This device vs. LG Ultrawide (my daily driver when I need the screen real-estate): This is the best comparison. It "feels" very similar to my LG Ultrawide in terms of clarity and color. Eye Strain: I work all day on monitors, and some lower-end panels cause immediate squinting. This one does not. Text clarity is adequate for full-day productivity work without fatigue. It isn't "super clear" like the M1 Max (my benchmark), but it is definitely adequate, and is superior to other monitors I have tried. I can say this: I work all day with the LG Ultrawide and this monitor "feels" like that monitor in clarity. I haven't had a chance to hammer on this for days like the LG, but from what I can see, this is adequate clarity for productivity work and should not create eye-strain. I have OTHER monitors that have me squinting and rubbing my eyes quickly. I do not think that will be a problem with this device. Gaming & Performance: Refresh Rate: I drove the monitor at 144 Hz via my Mac, and it performed smoothly. Note: I didn't push to the full 180 Hz due to cable/hardware limitations, but 144 Hz was stable and recognized immediately by macOS. Ghosting: I noticed some minor ghosting with fast-moving objects, but it handled 90% of what I threw at it very well. Display Quality & HDR Blooming: While it can’t compete with OLED or the Mac M1's Mini-LED display, the blacks are surprisingly deep with minimal, non-distracting blooming. Color: It sits right alongside my LG Ultrawide. It's not as vibrant as a Mac display, but it’s very respectable for this tier. HDR: I was less impressed here. HDR content seemed a bit "washed out" compared to the default SDR mode. I ended up sticking with the defaults and just bumping the brightness slightly for a better overall picture. Build & Ergonimics The Stand: This is a highlight. It’s sturdy and provides height and tilt adjustments. Portrait Mode: It supports a full 90-degree rotation. This is a "nice to have" feature that many competitors lack, making it great for long documents or coding. Ports: 2x HDMI and 1x DisplayPort. Final Thoughts When looking at my attached photos, please note that any "wavy" patterns (Moire) are a camera artifact—the screen is much cleaner to the naked eye. Pros: Great value, sturdy stand with portrait mode, easy on the eyes for work. Cons: HDR is a bit weak, minor ghosting in high-speed gaming. Overall: If you need a reliable secondary monitor or a budget-friendly primary for a mix of work and play, this is a solid choice. Recommended.
