★★★★★RHEl 9 NAS works great
For the cost this board has all the features that I wanted. Coming from SuperMicro for years as well as some older HP Proliant servers, I appreciate the updated IPMI web interface. Its not exactly modern but at least it doesn't feel like its from the early 2000s. I haven't run into any situations I couldnt do with this board. I am using it for a NAS with RHEL 9 and it works great.

★★★★Works well for NAS w/ Ryzen + ECC memory
Bought this board to go into my new custom 8-bay NAS server. It has just enough SATA ports to connect them all, and two NVMe drives for mirrored OS drives. Performance/speed has been great so far. Once I got the BIOS and BMI firmware updated, the BIOS sees all my drives and boots just fine (though it's slow being a server board). Management interface is pretty decent. I put a Ryzen 5 5600 in this w/ 32GB of DDR4 3200 unbuffered ECC memory. Using 8 enterprise SATA drives for storage and basic NVMe drives for OS. Burned everything in extensively and it's all working great. Only thing I noted that I didn't like is just how cheap and flimsy it feels for such an expensive board, especially the SATA ports. I felt like if I wasn't super careful, I'd have snapped them off for as wobbly as they were. Maybe that's just how things have always been, and I've never really noticed, but for a server board at this price point I guess I expected better build quality. Outside of that, I've very pleased with this board.

★★★★★Unique
One of the very few AM4 motherboards with ECC, and remote management. Used it for an unRAID server with a gpu for video encoding and a 16i hba card. Worked decent out of the box but was throwing the occasional hardware error in syslog. After a BIOS update the errors went away. A warning that after flashing the BIOS an update to the BMC is required. This update requires you flash it from a DOS boot disk as it will fail to update from the web UI (This is called out on the ASRock Rack website)

★★★★Both USB ports didn't work simultaneously (keyboard and flash drive). Could not install OS.
On the one I got the two USB ports on the back did not work simultaneously. The system was unable to recognize the flash drive when a USB keyboard was plugged into the other USB port. Both flash drive and USB keyboard work fine on other systems and even separately on this motherboard, but not both of them. This makes the board unusable.

★★★★★Great for TrueNAS
I had four vintage DDR4-2400 ECC UDIMMs that this board worked perfectly with. I dropped in a new Ryzen 5900XT, Noctua NH-D9L cooler, the 10Gtek quad drive U.2 PCIe Gen3 x16 card from my ESXi host, updated the BIOS and IPMI firmware, set x4x4x4x4 bifurcation and 65W Eco mode in the BIOS, and all is well. Nice to have TrueNAS on bare metal again. The onboard X550 10Gb Ethernet ports save me a card slot which is great since the x4 PCIe slot would disable half the x16 slot if I needed it. TrueNAS reports that the memory is ECC. I did have to take tin snips to the 5.25" bays on my Fractal 1100 microATX case to get the board to fit and covered the new sharp edges with electrical tape.
