Yes, this is both a 2020 model and refurbished. Depending on your needs, it's still a great buy. I needed a second rig in my workshop, so I gave this board a shot. From what I can tell, ASUS did a recall and had quite a few of these fail because of bad fans in the chipset cooler. They replaced them with revised units and that solved the problem. You can tell by the noise the fan makes. If it's fairly loud, it's the old fan because they had a bearing issue. If it's silent, it's the new fan. The refurbished boards have the new fan. The board works great, and has great performance and full x570 options. It comes with the combo wifi and Bluetooth antenna, but nothing else. No manual, cables, or anything else. It doesn't even come in its own box. It will be in a generic antistatic bag, wrapped up in big bubble wrap and the shipping box is the box you get. The only thing that mine was missing was the raised nut for the primary M.2 slot. There are base nuts permanently installed for each of the different sized M.2 boards, but the raised nut to keep the M.2 board level is missing. I had a spare so that worked for me. You don't have to have one as long as you are running a bare M.2 board. One with a heatsink might not work. Your M.2 board will come with a screw, but not the nut, and this board is missing the original nut. Other than that, everything works great, and it offers a great feature set for my needs in the workshop. Using a Ryzen 7 5700g with IGP and 32GB of 4000 ram. The ram was not on the QVL, but it's XMP profile worked fine after I did a BIOS update. Just make sure to clear the CMOS before you do the BIOS update so old information doesn't stay behind and cause trouble.

★★★★★A motherboard and a box of random stuff
I got the motherboard, a functional faceplate, a screw for an m.2 drive, an m.2 riser screw (one of the m.2 drives is slightly elevated and requires a riser), and a pair of screw-on directional antennas. No SATA cables, no manual, no driver CD, and the item should have shipped with a shark antenna - not a directional antenna. All of the missing things come with the actual product and I honestly cannot think of a reason these scrubs can sell this board as refurbished if they don't include everything in the original box or at least spell out what you will be getting. What you will get will be random, hence the 3-star review. My motherboard works, the manual and drivers are online, but I could have used the SATA cables - and I would have liked to have gotten the shark-style antenna since elevating it might improve my reception a bit. UPDATE: Contacting the seller helped correct the shortcomings and I've adjusted the review accordingly. The seller gets these from ASUS directly and the boxes are sealed, so they just react as needed. Regardless, you should get this motherboard in advance of a system build so you can determine what missing pieces you might need to aquire in order to finish your build.

★★★★★Excellent Mobo at low price
I'm building a new computer for the first time in over a decade and wanted something that was at the sweet spot at performance for price. This hit that perfectly. (At least it did in March 2023.) It has ample upgrade slots for RAM, hard drives, fans, and RAM. The Mobo came without the original packaging but was adequately packaged up safely. Everything worked great. The only issues were the bios had to be tweaked to allow Windows 11 to be installed, and some restarts caused originally, easily fixed once the bios was updated. Those things should be easy for you to do if you're considering assembling your own machine. If you're not comfortable doing that, you probably shouldn't be buying *any* motherboard without things pre-assembled to some degree.

★★★★★5 stars with a little caveat.
Ryzen 2400g, 16gb Viper ram, generic Radeon RX480 NS2048, 1x NVME, 1x SATA SSD, 3x spinner HDD. I am giving this MOBO 5 stars, despite it being a little flaky as shipped. It was complete and included everything that was supposed to come with the new MOBO...but the I/O panel was blank and not silkscreened...just plain metal...but shaped with the right hole pattern. WIFI antenna included. 2x SATA cables included. Manual included. All good. Was not shipped in original box. It did not run perfectly as shipped. It had display problems randomly and some BSOD. Updating BIOS alleviated the issues. The as-shipped BIOS was a 2+ year old image. YMMV, but be prepared to update the BIOS.
