★★★★★3 Month Review + update
My last H97 board finally took a dump after nearly 7 years. Needed something quick to get me up and running. Everything from my old system plugged right in with no issues. I even added an NVME drive just for fun. BIOS is basic but functional. No instructions. I struggled a bit with the front panel connections until I found it listed on the product page. How hard is it to print it out and just throw it in the box? Cmon SHANGZHAOYUANOMGWTFBBQ. Anyways, this board has been running for 3 months straight with no problems and my mighty i7 4790 seems to be working well with it. I will update if anything breaks. UPDATE: YEAR AND HALF LATER Been running pretty much 24/7 for a year and half with zero issues. Even added a GTX 1660 Super for some light gaming at the office (dont tell the boss!) This works great with windows 10 LTSC IOT and great way to extend the life of perfectly capable hardware. 5/5 would buy again. Excellent work SHANGZHAOYUANOMGWTFBBQ

★★★★★Great 4th gen Motherboard, So good I bought it again
Transferred components ( i5 CPU etc.) from a older industrial Mini-ITX board to get modern features like UEFI, M.2 support when the older board couldn't be flashed to support a Linux upgrade. Was surprised by the perceived increase in performance from M.2 and USB 3.0. Added a fibre channel card and with it's four SATA ports and couple of spare hard drives this little board is also sharing storage in addition to it's normal duties without breaking a sweat. This is a great inexpensive upgrade for an older board that is working but no longer supported without going nuts buying CPU, Memory, etc. again to go to a later gen CPU. Update: Original board is still going strong running 24/7, Loved it so much I bought a second motherboard to transfer components from a Lenovo 4th Gen i5 desktop I got from Goodwill for $9. Companies are dumping machines with insufficient specs to run Win 11 on the secondary market, 6th gen and later get a lot of love because they have features that make them a great Jellyfin or Plex host or even a light gaming rig but they are basically giving the earlier machines away. Moved over the i5 and DDR3 memory, added 500gb M.2 drive left over from an old upgrade, a picopsu power supply, and repurposed an old Mini-itx chassis from an Atom build. Installed Ubuntu 25.04 no problem, I was even able to plug in and use the Lenovo SD card reader on the front panel USB header. Recently upgraded my security cameras to 4k, You'd be surprised how much storage and bandwidth 8 cameras recording the high def stream full-time and offloading to the cloud takes. Going to add storage to this machine and make it a NAS to offload security footage locally.

★★★★★A little misleading…
So the motherboard worked fine, but it’s misleading in the sense that it boasts an m2 WiFi slot and also a m2 ssd slot when in actuality it’s one or the other. They purposely don’t mention the number of m2 slots for that reason.

★★★★Quality control nightmare
Garbage. I got the H97 strong. 1st issue is i can't get the pc to boot at all, but all the parts were working fine on my old motherboard before switching. I got this one to fit into a smaller case. 2nd issue, CMOS battery. I know in the instructions it says I need to supply the CR 2032, but there isn't even a spot on the motherboard to put one into. After looking at the picture in the instructions, its just straight up missing from the spot it's supposed to be in. Picture included
