I love the dragon logo and just how great this Motherboard is at keeping my M.2's cool. Don't need. M.2's with a heat sink since this comes with enough cooling for 5! Very sturdy. It's heavy! But that's a sign it's HIGH QUALITY. Product arrived in great condition. Glad to have it as the foundation of my gaming setup. Bios has a ridiculous amount of options, but that's a good thing! Overlooking potential as well as AI features are great. And lastly. The PCI slots are UNIQUE. In a good way. the auto lock and unlock button are huge wins for when you need to remove your gpu or make sure it's seated correctly. All in all. Worth. Glad I spent the extra $ on a high end Motherboard.

★★★★★Easy Setup, Fast Performance, and Cool Design!
I’m not super tech-savvy, but setting up this gaming motherboard was surprisingly easy, even for a beginner like me. The instructions were clear, and all the parts fit together smoothly without much hassle. I was actually amazed by how quickly my system booted up and ran; it feels way faster than my old setup, which makes a big difference for gaming. Plus, the design of the board itself is impressive—it looks sleek and modern, with cool lighting that adds a nice touch to my setup. Overall, it’s perfect for someone who doesn’t know much but wants a high-performance board that’s easy to assemble and looks great.

★★★★★5 stars pending a bit more testing. Good value for a z890
I bought this to replace an Asus Strix Z890-E which became unstable after a bios update in March of 2026 after 5 months of ownership. Asus service is even worse than I'd read it is, and I'd read bad things. Sometimes we learn the hard way... Anyhow, the MSI Z890 Carbon wifi is running very well. In fact, it even booted up no problem, and ran stable, even before I reinstalled windows. That is to say, it ran completely stable and fine on the same windows 11 system disk I'd had attached to the Asus Strix z890-e. Naturally I did a clean installation after some testing, just to be safe. But the fact that it ran so well like that gave me great confidence. After setting my fan curves in the bios, and installing all the latest drivers, on a fresh installation of windows 11 pro, everything is running excellent. The CPU is a core ultra 285k with 96gb of ddr5, 16tb of m.2 storage and an rtx 4090. It runs better than it did on the Asus. I have good bandwidth & stability from the wifi, with no dropouts. USB speeds and reliability are good. I have zero problems so far. Knock on wood. I will give this 5 stars in a few months if the MB is still behaving it self and keeps up the great performance.

★★★★★★☆☆☆☆ Absolutely Unacceptable Quality Control - AVOID!
I was incredibly excited to build my new PC around the MSI MPG Z890 Carbon, pairing it with one of the new Intel Core Ultra Series 2 processors. On paper, this motherboard has the perfect feature set for a high-end gaming rig. In reality, this has been one of the worst product experiences I have ever had. The first motherboard I ordered arrived broken. After carefully unboxing it, I noticed a significant crack on the PCB near the PCIe slot. It was completely unusable. Thinking it was just terrible luck with shipping, I went through the hassle of returning it and ordered a second one, hoping for the best. Unbelievably, the replacement board was also broken. This one wouldn't POST at all. I spent hours troubleshooting, swapping out my CPU, RAM, and PSU with known working parts in another system. The conclusion was inescapable: the motherboard was dead on arrival, again. Receiving one defective premium product is a fluke. Receiving two in a row is a clear sign of abysmal quality control. The quality of this product is just plain crappy, and it's shocking for a motherboard at this price point. MSI has seriously dropped the ball here. Save yourself the monumental headache, time, and money. I've lost all faith in this product line and will be taking my business to another brand. I cannot in good conscience recommend the MSI MPG Z890 Carbon to anyone. Avoid at all costs. If I could give it a 0 star review I would.

★★★★★Nice motherboard for everything but the audio ports and the non-existent packaging!!!
The MSI Z890 Carbon Wifi motherboard is pretty good except for audio outputs.I had to run a stereo mini-plug to the front audio connector and another one to the rear audio connecter to get 4 channel surround sound! Have a Sound Blaster Audigy(79.99) coming soon so I can plug everything in the back!! Another thing I did not like was the packaging!! It was not put in a box-it was shipped with a label on the box it comes in!! Really stupid way to pack something-if I want to return it or sell it later, getting the shipping label off would probably ruin the looks of the retail box!! Call them about shipping this properly in another little bit bigger box with the labels stuck on it!!! Before you buy it!!!
