★★★★Motherboard of horrors.
This motherboard has been a consistently frustrating experience. I updated the BIOS and confirmed that all hardware components were compatible prior to installation. However, from the moment I built my system, issues began to appear. The yellow DRAM light would turn on, Windows would fail to restart properly, and eventually the motherboard stopped functioning. It will not even load into bios now. I attempted multiple troubleshooting steps, including testing with different RAM and reseating the CPU, but none were successful. Extremely frustrated, I replaced the board with a different brand using the exact same components, and the system booted without any issues. This motherboard cost me nearly two months of troubleshooting and instability. At this point, I’m unsure if pursuing the RMA process is worth the additional time, effort, and mental drain. I'm just tired of dealing with it and my new board works perfectly.

★★★★★Better than newer options for PCIe lanes
Works well with good set of options and better than typical PCIe lane configuration.

★★★★Potentially good, but a horrible experience!
Overall this should, in theory, be an excellent AM5 motherboard for both current and future AMD processors. It represents good value for a high end AM5 board. The build quality and features it offers are solid and the included RGB touches add a nice aesthetic. However, based on my experience I can not recommend this motherboard. Almost immediately upon utilizing this board I had issues. Often times the board would not boot properly and would get stuck in a post code loop between error codes 00 and 15. I managed to get it to post, once or twice, but upon reboot it would get stuck in the same sequence. I tried multiple different kits of ram, different cpus, a clean windows install, clearing the cmos and flashing the bios. I know the problem lies with the motherboard as all of the hardware I tried with this board I've tested on another system to make sure they worked properly. After all of that, and things still not working I RMA'ed the board to MSI to get it fixed. That process took over a month and when I received the board back it still had the same issues as before. Frustrated doesn't begin to cover how I felt at that point. I tried all of the same things I had done previously, before the first RMA, to get the board working properly to no avail. It is now off in the mail for a second RMA and I don't have any confidence that it will be returned fixed and that I'm going to have to eat the cost of this board. Unfortunately, as I'm outside of the return window, all I can do is RMA it again and hope it will be fixed or replaced this time. Additionally, I've read other stories people have posted about MSI's current offerings of AM5 motherboards and how they've had similar issues to my own. I wish I had checked up on these prior, but up until this point I'd pretty much exclusively used MSI motherboards for my PC builds, going all the way back to the days of AMD FX cpus. However, that will no longer be the case as this experience has soured me on MSI motherboards. Lastly, please take this review for what it is, a single person's experience. I've read plenty of other reviews about how good this motherboard is and I'm sure they aren't wrong. It seems like I got unlucky and received a bad/buggy one. I have no doubt that in ideal circumstances these motherboards are excellent and will work just fine, but based on my experience I can't recommend this product.
