★★★★★Great board for the price all the features you need plus some .
Great modern day motherboard with modern day features. Three nvme ssd slots two pcie slots so you can use discrete GPU and a sound card or whatever your into . It performs better than I expected with current reviews of asrock are pretty bad. But it was easy enough to install and has USB c ports spdf and 3.5 mm audio with plenty of regular USB ports as well as HDMI and dvi. Overall id recommend this board for beginners and hobbiest plus it's a clean looking board.

★★★★★This board is great for my 7800x3d!!
Been running this board for a few months now and it's been great. Memory worked great. Even with the 6000mhz goodness in there. GPU installed ez pz, and the M.2 was very fast to install. Mounted a huge ass air cooler on it for my CPU and that was also easy. What a great board for the price!!

★★★★No great
I picked this motherboard up cause im a huge asrock motherboard fan. But connecting the power to motherboard didn't click. Definitely had a power issue. Rgb would shut off. Fans would shut off. They were not getting enough power. Pulled it out put gigabyte motherboard in and had zero issues.

★★★★★Get what you paid for
I picked up the ASRock X870 Steel Legend WiFi ATX Motherboard expecting a solid AM5 board… and instead got a motherboard that feels like it’s ready to launch a small satellite. First off, the specs are ridiculous (in a good way). DDR5 up to 8000 MHz, WiFi 7, USB4, tons of M.2—this thing doesn’t just future-proof your build, it future-proofs your next bad financial decision too. You install it and suddenly you’re pricing 10Gb internet “just because it can.” Build quality? Absolute tank. The Steel Legend name isn’t just marketing—it feels like you could use this thing as a skid plate on a truck and it would still POST. Now… let’s talk about the thing everyone is thinking about—the legendary “AM5 CPU frying saga.” I’ll say this: This board runs cool, stable, and hasn’t tried to turn my CPU into a grilled cheese sandwich yet. Which, in today’s enthusiast climate, feels like a premium feature. BIOS updates and proper settings go a long way here, and ASRock seems to have done their homework. As long as you’re not treating voltage like a “more is better” slider, everything behaves exactly like it should. Performance-wise, it’s rock solid. No weird hiccups, no random instability—just smooth operation whether you’re gaming, working, or pretending you understand RAM timings. Also, small detail: The aesthetic is clean enough that even cable management mistakes somehow look intentional. That’s a rare gift.

★★★★Good Boards, Stupid PCIE layout.
I have used many of the Steel Legend boards and the Pro RS boards. They are solid and work well. I have one big problem with this current generation, and that is the PCIE layout. They put the two Nvme slots on the bottom of the board, and this moves the PCIE slot up. If you are going to run a top tier graphics card that is fat, it completely blocks the second PCIE slot. My 10Gbe network card cannot be installed with my rtx4090. Really to bad, as the Pro RS, Steel Legend and Riptide all have this layout. If you need to use a PCIE slot along with a graphics card, look at the Nova.
