This power supply is built by Seasonic (who is also building high quality power supplies for ASUS for example). It's very similar to the Seasonic VERTEX GX (but with better efficiency), or the PRIME PLATINUM (but with more cables and a 12VHPWR connector). Seasonic started replacing the 12VHPWR cables with newer backwards compatible 12V-2×6 cables. Montech is including the newer cable as well. The power supply is 80 PLUS & Cybenetics Platinum, meaning it has 90% efficiency within a certain load region. It also promises to be able to supply peak loads to your graphics card of 3x the rated power (for up to 21ms). It's also rated A- (or A+, depending on wattage) by Cybenetics for noise performance. What I'm trying to say: this is a very high quality power supply distributed under the Montech brand but designed and manufactured my a company with a long heritage is professional power supplies.

I’ll do the typical “I don’t normally write reviews” intro and say I really don’t write reviews usually but this being my second pc build I feel I should share. 2 weeks in and I’m having zero issues you can obviously hear the fan but I’m not gonna nitpick such a small issue it’s a 1200w power supply zero expectation for it to be quite. My temps are perfect and no weird little power blimps. I don’t normally run it for super long periods of time anymore as I am a bit busy every weekday but weekends it on for almost 15 hours a day. Obviously not an in depth review but I will update in a year. Runs a 5080 and 9800x3d (for anyone who is interested in what it’s powering)

This is a high quality 80 plus and cybernetics platinum rated psu. As of 2/2026, the SPL psu tier list has this psu rated at A- (A tier is the minimum recommendation for high-end builds). The 1200W version paired with an ultra 9 285K and rtx 5090 is capable of delivering all of the system’s power needs with a nice buffer. Cables feel like great quality. They are more flexible than stiff, making cable management easier. All of the connector connections feel solid. This is a great psu for any high end build.

Didn't come with the Mono cables for the fans. Montech support told me "too bad". Had to buy them from a third party.

Excelent psu with a low price and high quality. Edit #2: I connected a 5090 RTX with the 12v 2x6 cable it comes with and had 0 problems, excellent! Edit: very safe psu that also has anti damage protections: I used a psu pmw to sata cable from my older modular psu, and got a bit melted but nothing got damaged whatsoever. So even due to user-related mistakes like mine it doesn’t get damaged! It has the OTP OVP UVP SCP certifications so even if you do wrong things like using a cable from lower wattage psu it doesnt do anything, I made my stress tests and everything after what happened. Its fine! it’s very quiet and doesn’t get hot. Incredible psu!
