★★★★★Understated Authority
The Noctua Edition Seasonic Prime TX-1600 is the best power supply I have ever owned. The price is well weighted to the absolute premium fit and finish, let alone the perfection of performance. The greatest bit about this power supply is that after installing it, I haven't had to think about it and haven't heard anything from it. It's completely (functionally) invisible and in the computer case I have it is unseen other than the couple of cables routing into the viewing area. As for icing on the cake, its titanium rated and efficient for what it is. The lack of heat gives me a non-scientific indication that it is indeed great at converting and moving power despite not having a measuring tool for better granularity. This power supply does it all... but maybe don't display it, it's meant to be used.

★★★★★My favorite power supply ever made
The Seasonic Noctua Edition 1600 Power Supply is the highest quality power supply I have ever touched. The attention to detail, such as the inclusion of a motherboard power cable 90° adapter, fully braided cables right out of the box, and other goodies makes this feel like a premium and complete package. I used to order CableMod cables for all my power supplies, but I don’t feel the need with this one thanks to the included braided cables. One thing to note right off the bat is that this power supply is heavy. If you will be lifting your PC case a lot, it adds heft. I also have this strange issue where there’s an arcing sound from the power supply when turning on my PC at startup, but it only lasts a second and stops. I am awaiting Seasonic’s reply on that, but from what I’ve read, this might be normal when energizing the components for the first boot after being unplugged for a while. Lastly, I think it offers great performance, my system only pulls about 700-800W max with an NVIDIA RTX 5090 founders edition and AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D combo. But the extra headroom means I’m staying efficient and have plenty of room for upgrades in the future. Given the bulletproof reputation of this power supply, I plan to keep it for a long time. Oh, and the Noctua fan is quiet. I don’t even hear it.

★★★★★Enthusiast-grade for brown fan lovers.
Seasonic has been innovating and improving on their design topology for decades. Likewise, Noctua has been innovating and improving on their fans and cooling solutions for a couple decades. Combine one of the best established computer power supply companies with a innovator in the computer cooling solution space, and you have this. A flagship level, enthusiast grade power supply, at the highest reasonable amount of wattage you can pull from a standard household 20A 110/120V North American power outlet. The power supply comes with flexible, color matched cables and combs. Plenty of other PSU swag (soft sided zip bag for extra cables, PSU testing tool/angle adapter, soft drawstring bag) is also included. Also a Seasonic/Noctua badge you can stick on your tower for the clout. The modular cables have nice clips and are not terrible to depress for release or to push in to connect. Nothing is worse than excessively snug fits that make you feel like you're going to break components in half when you're trying to plug in/remove the plug. Unfortunately, MSRP is $550, which isn't bad for the quality of component, but since it's a somewhat limited release and people love to scalp any computer product lately, I paid a fair bit over MSRP. It's a shame, but no fault of Seasonic, except perhaps they should try and secure the supply chain to reduce scalping or price hikes. Otherwise, it's a power supply. It works as advertised. Plenty of hardcore, super detailed reviews and torture tests of this out there. Too bad I can't see it all that well, it looks pretty nice, but rarely does any computer case showcase the PSU.

★★★★★amazing PSU for mid-life crisis build
Silly in every way: 1) it’s huge. 21 cm long has it BARELY fit in my o11d XL, which surprised me but it fit. 2) it’s QUIET. Absurdly quiet. I don’t think I’ve ever had a sound rated PSU before. And I won’t go back. 3) cables alone feel like 3rd party custom cables aka super premium. If the noctua brown and black don’t do it for you, this won’t change your mind. I like it. 4) I can peak to 900w on this machine (per reading from the kill a watt), PSU sweet spot for efficiency 5) did I mention it’s quiet? 6) it silly expensive, but it's not like the market for this PSU are budget buyers. Also never knew what a c19 connector was until now. Feeling grizzled.

★★★★★Best of the Best
I recently received the Noctua Edition PSU, and while I haven’t had the chance to put it through its paces just yet, I am impressed by its premium build and the individually sleeved cables. The price is high, but you will feel everything is top-notch from the moment you unbox it. Both manufacturers, Seasonic and Noctua, have a great reputation for quality products, and with a 12-year warranty, you will have peace of mind knowing this PSU is built to last well over a decade. I do have the Seasonic Prime TX-1600 (non ATX 3.0 version) which is powering a high-performance computer with a 4090 GPU, and have not had any problems. I only decided to upgrade because I am starting a new build which will have a 5090, and wanted to comply with the ATX 3.1 standard with a trusted brand. As far as my justification for the price of the PSU: 1) Meets 3.1 ATX Standard 2) 1600 Watts will cover all your current and future power requirements that you throw at it. 3) Titanium certification 4) Premium individually sleeved cables (this alone is worth at least $100), but it's brown & black. 5) Noctua branding with fan for the "coolness" factor. Once I get everything installed, I’ll update this review with real-world performance feedback. But so far, it’s clear this PSU was worth the premium price for the quality, future-proofing, and peace of mind it offers. Just be sure that your PC Case accommodates the size.
