💡 How to pick memory
What to look for:
  • Must match your motherboard type (DDR4 or DDR5)
  • 16GB minimum for gaming, 32GB for content creation
  • Higher speed (MT/s) = better performance, especially for AMD
💰 Look for kits in 2 sticks (e.g. 2x8GB, 2x16GB) for dual-channel performance

★★★★★Corsair Vengeance DDR5 — Fast, Durable, and Great Value (If Priced Right)
I picked up Corsair Vengeance DDR5 RAM before the recent price hikes and have been really happy with them. These sticks feel durable and were super easy to install. I run a large 120 Thermal Assassin air cooler, and because they’re low-profile, they fit perfectly without any clearance issues. The speed on these is awesome — gaming and multitasking both feel smooth and snappy. They don’t have RGB, but that actually works well for a clean, stealth look if you’re into that. Overall, I’d highly recommend these if you can get them at a fair price. Great performance and solid build quality.

★★★★★Excellent. Dont buy during ram crisis.
Excellent ram for $380. Not good for $1100+. very stable, very fast and they look great. Very low clearance so you will have no issues with CPU coolers getting in the way.

★★★★★Don't do What I did, but Over All I Love it
Personally I am over the whole RGB phase in my life. My case can be an old 1990s white box and I would be a happy lad. That's one of the major reasons why I really like this RAM. It's simple and high quality without flashy RGB. I will say I made a boneheaded move by getting 2 orders of these (2X32GB times 2) and attempted to double dimm them at the same frequency. If anyone knows where this is going - it's going there. This obviously resulted in me never being able to reach the advertised 6 GHZ speed since I lost the silicon lottery BAD. If I had to do it again I would have preferred getting a more reliable/stable 4x32 which it more likely to be stable when configured. But I digress about my stupidity in this. This certainly is not a dig on the product. Which so far has been incredibly reliable (at the speed I CAN clock it at), and the additional memory capacity (of 128 - instead of a faster 6 ghz of 32 GB) is much better for me overall. Overall Corsair for the win

★★★★★Requires Significant Setup To Work On ASUS ROG Strix X870E-E Boards
I'm using the 2X64gb pair with an ASUS ROG Strix X870E-E Gaming WiFi board, and I had to go through a few hoops to get it to work. Namely, I removed my video card and used the onboard video, updated the bios, hard reset the RAM (removed CMOS battery on the board, and held the power button down for 60 seconds), and attempted to train both sticks of RAM individually. Eventually, the second stick got trained but the first could not, it took about 10 minutes for the successful training, and then I added the second stick (2 sticks installed), and it took about the same amount of time for that untrainable stick to work properly with the trained stick still installed. I then had to configure my bios to allow expo, getting the sticks to 6000mt/s (defaults to 4000 or 4800 m/ts), and I am very happy with the final outcome. Overclocked with the overclock AI from the board's bios, and everything's flying. Using with an overclocked 9950x3d and WD_BLACK SN850X. Crazy fast when compared to what I'm accustomed to.
