The main downside of this item is that it only has a 3 year warranty instead of the 5 year warranty that comes with a new device. Of course, the upside is that it’s actually priced affordable, right now computer component prices are stupid high, especially for the larger capacity units like this. Easily slotted it into my QNAP NAS as a replacement for another drive, and the NAS recognized it immediately and started the array rebuild.
