★★★★★Awesome drive for great price.
I was debating between shucking an 8tb WD Easystore for $130 or getting this drive. Given the speed, performance and reliability of the Exos, I decided to pay $30 more to get it ($160). This drive came with 5370 hours (~8 months) of use on it already. I registered the drive with Seagate on 28/Sep/2019 and the warranty shows expiring 18/Aug/2023 (4 years). For the price, I think it is fair. I put it in my Synology DS918+ and it passed all tests with flying colors. So far, so good. I am happy with the drive. Update Feb 3, 2020: My Synology DS918+ reported this drive unusable with errors mid Jan 2020 (~3 months after purchase). I claimed the Seagate warranty and received a new drive a week later and still under warranty. Great service from Seagate backing up this product. I still like the drive.

★★★★3 time was not the charm...3rd time I got a defective product from seagate....
Showed up with "caution " on smart test and 8 bad sectors...why do they send out junk!

★★★★Larger but flawed But a great company.
Well, can I say the company is on point. They are very helpful and polite and took care of my shipping issue without any issues. The drives thems self are well what can I say are refurbs the first one has been formated without an issue a dis working like a champ just like it was new. and for some so big it is fast. and I am not exaggerating i am storing my multimedia and it took the place of my 4 TB SSD HDD hybrid drives and these are loading twice as fast. now it could because there is more space to open stuff up but the load up fast. the second is throwing errors and bad sectors left and right I am trying to get the drive to work I really do not want to bother the company anymore since they did go out of there way for me so far. and I greatly appreciate it. so I am trying to make a cake with flour that is bread flour instead of cake flour. they are very nice and polite and I look forward to doing more business with them in the future. and you should too. One drive with a few issues does not make for a bad review. this is just something that happens when you go with a refurb. it is a gamble. and you have to take that into consideration when you make your purchase and you can't complain about it if you get one that has an issue or two you should deal with or just return it and go get a new one in the box. and not complain.

★★★★★Solid Time Capsule replacement
This has been working flawlessly so far as a huge storage upgrade from the 3TB drive that came with my Apple Time Capsule. (I wouldn't recommend a Time Capsule HDD replacement unless you're comfortable with such projects - it is not technically user serviceable and using this particular drive requires permanently altering the time capsule HDD holder - I probably won't ever do that again, but with a HDD this large by the time I want to the technology will have solidly moved on.) The drive does seem subjectively louder than the HDD it replaced, but I didn't measure that. Anyway, seems like a solid drive so far in four weeks of hourly backups!
