Seagate Skyhawk AI 16TB Video Internal Hard Drive HDD – 3.5 Inch SATA 6Gb/s 256MB Cache for DVR NVR Security Camera System with Drive Health Management and in-House Rescue Services (ST16000VE000)

Using this in my Lorex 4k cameras setup.

Drives are super quiet. Little pricey compared to NAS or Desktop HDD's but hopefully worth it in the long run. Have these deployed in multiple NVR's without a failure yet. Seem pretty quick and snappy for browsing through footage.

3 years and still going strong with no issue. "knock on wood".

I bought this from a 3rd party vendor in Canada called Deal Targets and it was dead on arrival with loud rhythmic clicking upon start-up. The drive was factory sealed but in a generic box. I've never bought a "new" hard drive that wasn't packaged in the retail box, very sketchy. It wasn't prime so of course I had to pay for return postage, what a scam.

I can confirm that this Seagate Skyhawk AI 16TB HDD works with the UDM Pro. All I did was backup my protect configuration, power down the UDM Pro, swap the hard drive, and power up the UDM Pro. It was instantly recognized. I reimported back my configuration and set my views again and I was done. Easy peasy! My smart detections are very smooth now with this HDD. High recommend!
