I have a friend who LOVES her old Dell "All In One".. It is terribly old and slow, and had a 5400 RPM spinning drive in it. I dont know how she was still using it, but she doesn't like the looks of the new ones, and wanted me to do whatever I could to get some more life out of this old thing!! Anyway, this was one of the cheapest 1tb SSD's I could find from a brand that I trusted at all, so I bought it and cloned her drive to it, and WOW.. The difference is amazing! This drive is great and worked well immediately.. no problems at all, and I've used Silicon Power before, and have no concerns about reliability.

Awesome SSD. Speed tests on my high end gaming platform showed very impressive write speeds, as well as very impressive reads. It operates very cool and I feel it will long time. A great buy.

I bought one of these years ago in 1TB form to expand from the 256 GB SSD one I originally started with in 2016, and I have not been disappointed in its performance. I recently needed to switch to Linux from Windows 10 because my old desktop can't support Windows 11. I used it as an opportunity to expand HD space once again with the added benefit of not having to overwrite my original drive to do the install, and so this 2TB drive was just the ticket. I've had it running Linux for a few weeks and have had zero issues with it. Boot times are quick and programs are super snappy. Lots of file transfers going on due to the OS switch and everything not coming from a USB drive is very fast. I'm still running the 1TB drive in the same tower to pull files off of and it's still working flawlessly as well. This is now my fourth Silicon Power SSD going back to 2016 and I am 100% satisfied with all of them. My experience is that these are some of the least expensive SSD drives out there but they are still high quality, and still plenty fast for everyday use. They blow any HDD made out of the water for sure.

I have bought 3, 1 terabyte drives over the last 2 years and so far i have been very happy, fast & smooth operation. Just bought a 500 Gb drive but too soon to review but appears to operate just as well. Never going back to mag/mech drive again.

Over the past few years I have updated a number of older Dell PCs with more memory, dedicated graphics cards, faster CPUs, and especially Solid State Drives (SSDs), both SATA 2.5" and m.2 NVME. Recently, my trusty Dell 9020 (4th gen Intel Core i5) has been acting up, requiring me to explore and swap out various components. I usually use Crucial SSDs however I with the recent spike in memory and storage prices, I decided to give this Silicon Power SSD a try. At first, things went well. The drive performed smoothly and quickly. However after about a week I began to experience noticeable lags and stops, especially during Starcraft II game play. Swapping back to my original Samsung SSD made the problem go away. I thought perhaps it was a fluke, so I used this Silicon Power SSD drive again during a recent upgrade of a Dell Inspiron 3650 (6th gen Core i5). I loaded Windows 10 and then upgraded to Windows 11, then loaded all my apps. All was going OK however I again noticed lags and stops. The final straw was after everything was loaded and (sort of) running (albeit with many lags and stops), I tried to clone the contents of the Silicone Power SSD drive over to a more reliable Crucial SSD. Although the clone was "successful" the result was that the new Crucial drive would not boot into Windows. VERY DISAPPOINTING especially since I am now just 2 days outside of the 30-day return window. Maybe I just got a bad one, but based on my experience, I cannot recommend this product.
