It's PCIE Gen 4 M.2 NVMe, uses something like a Phison E18 controller, and at 4 TBs it's found cheaper than a lot of the competition sharing this same level of an NVMe drive. Incredibly fast at loading game assets as expected. Don't expect Gen 5 drives to give you a significant advantage over this, it's not worth the money, look at Intel 905P if you really care about the fastest possible loading times in your games.
