★★★★★Super reliable for over 7 years already
I purchased 4 of these in 2018 for use in a Synology DS918+ NAS, and with over 58,000 operating hours on the drives, I would say they are pretty durable. They are still reported as "healthy" with no errors reported ever. I was just being proactive to check if I should be worried about these aging drives, and, while it might be time to replace them just to be safe, I would not be surprised if they keep going for a few more years. I wouldn't say they are noisy, nor would I say they are particularly quiet. You can hear the "crunching" sounds as they are accessed. Their temperature is about 35C, very normal. I would absolutely buy these again.

★★★★★Reliable and fast
WD's Red Pro NAS drives are fantastic platter-style disk drives. I was able to grab a couple of these at 2 different times about a year apart for a low price via Amazon Warehouse deals, and have used them now for quite some time, and they work fantastically. The only complaint I might have is that the 128MB cache variety of the 6TB model seems to be going the way of the dodo, so if I ever finally get an actual 4-bay NAS, I may have a hard time finding another pair of the 6TB 128MB cache models of these (the newer ones are 256MB cache, which is better, obviously, but drives must match perfectly to do things like RAID arrays and disk mirroring).

★★★★★Long term Review: Did the job for 3 years on moderate to low usage, failed afterwards
To summarize: 4/4 WD red drive showed more than 500 bad sectors after 2.5 years of light use. WD has excellent service and honoured on out of warranty replacement. Could get only 3 replaced. Also WD drives run much hotter than Seagate Ironwolf. S.M.A.R.T quick tests did not catch drive errors. Extended tests did Description: I used 4 3.6TB Western Digital HDDs to build NAS in RAID 5 initially. Used the NAS to backup my files and used it very few times a year (more writes than reads). It was shut down most of the nights. Still WD drives started failing one by one. Luckily Western Digital has excellent service and replaced one of the drives in the warranty and another one just out of warranty. 3rd drive failed very recently as showed in the picture. The drive was run for ~21500 hours approximately and started to fail with more than 500 bad sectors. These sectors showed up while I was rebuilding/repairing Drive 3 (replaced by WD RMA). I added a new Seagate Ironwolf drive recently to review it against WD. So far it is good and running a lot more cooler (less heat) than its WD rivals.

★★★★★WD drives have never let me down. Great 6TB product.
I bought a diskless Western Digital PR4100 and loaded it with two of these in a RAID 1 configuration. The stocked versions of the PR4100 either didn't have the size of drive I wanted or the "pro" level disk that I wanted. Everything was plug n' play. Works great. I've had these drives in the PR4100 for about 3 months now. All good.

★★★★Great drives
Drives are great, but was very disappointed with price ended up with. Ordered them for $279 Cdn, from Canadian site, but when came through ended up paying in US $ and extra costs from US. Coiup,e months after bought had a refund applied but not nearly enough. Is first issue I’ve had with Amazon, is chalk up as learning experience to print when order so have something to show them.
