πŸ’‘ How to pick case fans
What to look for:
  • 120mm most common, 140mm moves more air quieter
  • Higher CFM = more airflow, higher dBA = more noise
  • Static pressure fans for radiators, airflow fans for cases
πŸ’° Two intake + one exhaust is a solid baseline for positive pressure

β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜…The quietest fans out there.
Super easy to install any way you choose, I went with the rubber plugs for even quieter operation. The fans cool very well and provide a great amount of airflow at all speeds. They're incredibly quiet to the point where I cant tell if my PC is on without looking at it. Combine with a "matched" pair on a 420mm radiator or for the main intakes/exhaust like I did on my H9 flow. Incredible performance out of these fans. Wish I needed more. A little on the pricier side, but their performance makes them very, very worth the cost.

β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜…Dropped my CPU temperatures about 1Β° C from the G1 fan
I bought this to use with my NH-C14S heatsink, which included the G1 version of this fan. I then reused that fan to replace a 140 mm fan that was included with my case. This gave me an opportunity to do a direct comparison, which I did using a sustained 117W workload. Ambient was about 25Β° C and mean, steady-state CPU temperature dropped from 69.7Β° C to 68.7Β° C. I didn't find the new fan to be any quieter, at max RPMs, but this matches the results found by hwcooling.net, in their comprehensive review. So, I knew not to expect an improvement, in that regard. The fan is indeed very quiet to a point, but it's certainly not silent at max RPMs. The fan included the usual set of accessories, although I was a little disappointed the gasket didn't have more lip on it, like the one that was included with a NF-A12x25 (G1) fan I bought, earlier this year. The main downside of this fan is the price, but I guess that's how things are going these days. The other significant negative is probably the fact that there are fans that produce higher static pressure, even at the same noise levels. Refer to the review on hwcooling.net, to see which ones. In summary, it's a well-designed, well-built fan that met all my expectations. I expect it will easily last for the life of my machine. I've never had a Noctua fan fail on me.

Noctua has been making cooling solutions for computers over 20 years, and they're quite good at what they do. The packaging is impeccable (which I should hope for, considering the price premium). Plenty of included accessories reduces the need to purchase additional cables or adapters. These are quiet, extremely well built and engineered, and move copious amounts of air at all fan speeds. I also am a fan of the color, which is a polarizing point for many. I have no doubt these fans will continue on into other builds in the future, which I can't say about fans I've used in the past.

β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜…Great fan, very quiet at < 800 rpm
Great fan that pushes air well and is very quiet (<30 dB) from a meter away at 800 rpm or less. It comes with an extender cable, a y-splitter cable, and a low-noise current-reducer cable, plus as many grommets and vibration-absorbing corner brackets as you will ever need. Expensive? Yes. Is there a better fan available for less money? No.

β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜…The Best
Definitely the best fans to exist. Very quiet and even hits 1900 RPM at full blast which isn’t too loud. The price is a bit high but overall I say it’s worth it with everything that it comes with. I wish it came in any color but brown, but cosmetics isn’t what I was looking for and it is a sacrifice well made. For context: I have a MSI 5070 Ti Shadow 3x OC GPU with an AMD Ryzen 9 9900X CPU. I used these on the front of my case and it took the temps down 2C. I do AI workloads and game on ultra graphics where it keeps a max of 85F. It put my prebuilt CyberPower PC fans to shame, that’s for sure.
