💡 How to pick a CPU cooler
What to look for:
  • TDP rating must exceed your CPU's TDP
  • Socket compatibility (AM5, LGA1851, etc.)
  • Fits within your case's cooler height limit
💰 Air coolers are reliable and quiet. AIO liquid coolers handle high-TDP CPUs best

★★★★★One of the Best Bang for your Buck!
As a PC enthusiast who demands both performance and aesthetics from my components, the Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 Black CPU Air Cooler has truly impressed me. Here’s why this cooler stands out as an exceptional choice for anyone looking to upgrade their cooling solution: 1. Outstanding Cooling Performance: The Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 features six heat pipes that effectively dissipate heat from the CPU. Paired with the TL-C12B PWM fan, this cooler provides exceptional airflow and thermal management. Even under heavy loads and overclocking scenarios, my CPU temperatures remain impressively low. This cooler keeps my system stable and performing optimally, even during intense gaming sessions or demanding productivity tasks. 2. Quiet Operation: One of the key highlights of the TL-C12B PWM fan is its silent operation. Despite its powerful cooling capabilities, the fan runs quietly, even at higher RPMs. This is a significant advantage for those who prefer a quieter computing environment without sacrificing cooling efficiency. The PWM functionality also allows for precise control over fan speeds, further optimizing performance and noise levels. 3. Sleek and Stylish Design: The all-black design of the Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 adds a sleek and modern look to my build. The aluminum heatsink not only contributes to efficient heat dissipation but also enhances the aesthetic appeal of my PC. It blends seamlessly with other components, giving my system a clean and professional appearance. 4. Easy Installation: Installing the Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 was straightforward and hassle-free. The included mounting hardware is robust and compatible with a wide range of CPU sockets, including Intel and AMD platforms. The clear instructions made the process smooth, even for someone who isn’t a seasoned builder. The secure mounting ensures that the cooler stays firmly in place, providing consistent cooling performance. 5. Excellent Build Quality: The build quality of this CPU cooler is top-notch. The heat pipes and heatsink are constructed from high-quality materials that feel durable and reliable. The fan blades are sturdy, and the overall construction gives me confidence that this cooler will provide long-lasting performance without any issues. 6. Versatility and Compatibility: The Peerless Assassin 120 is compatible with a wide range of CPU sockets, making it a versatile choice for various builds. Whether you’re upgrading an existing system or building a new one, this cooler is likely to fit your needs. Its compact size also ensures that it doesn’t interfere with other components, such as RAM or GPU, which is a common concern with larger air coolers. 7. Value for Money: Considering its excellent performance, quiet operation, stylish design, and high build quality, the Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 offers great value for money. It delivers premium features and performance typically found in more expensive coolers, making it an outstanding choice for budget-conscious builders who don’t want to compromise on quality. Conclusion: The Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 Black CPU Air Cooler is an outstanding cooling solution that combines exceptional performance, quiet operation, and sleek aesthetics. Its efficient heat dissipation, easy installation, and excellent build quality make it a top choice for both novice and experienced builders. Whether you’re looking to enhance your system’s cooling capabilities or simply want a reliable and stylish cooler, the Peerless Assassin 120 is a fantastic investment. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a high-performance CPU cooler that delivers on all fronts.

★★★★★Brrrrrr
As the title says, brrrrrrr. These fans go brrrr and so stays the CPU lol. I was a little intimidated by how huge this thing is, and never having setup a cpu fan as this was a first build for me. It was actually very easy, you can YouTube a video of this and there’s a video of a man putting this exact cooler together. Mounting was easy, and had plenty of space, assembly was really easy too. Everything worked exactly as it was supposed to after assembly. Only thing that you’ll need to know is you’re gonna want a longggg screwdriver to tighten this behemoth down, because you can’t do it at an angle at all. This isn’t a big deal though as Walmart has super long Phillips head and flat head for practically nothing. Now the final part, cooling. This thing works exactly as it should. I have my fans set in the bios for turbo, meaning it’ll run low/med and then crank up if really needed, and all I can say is that it never has needed to at all. Cpu is staying nice and cool consistently just as one would hope. I based my purchase on the other reviews who hyped it up, and I’m glad I listened to them because this is a fantastic bang for the buck cooler, and I would like to suggest this product to anyone out there looking too.

★★★★★Best Bang for your Buck
It's big, quiet, and cools like a champion. For the price there's really not any competition. Comes well packaged with easy to understand instructions, more than enough spare parts to get any type of install completed (intel/am4/am5), and nice thermal paste. I use a traditional thermalright peerless cooler (single heatsync/fan) for my girlfriend's build and this peerless assassin for my build and both are 10/10.

★★★★★Great air cooler for the money for AMD 7900x
I bought this after looking at several options for my AMD Ryzen 9 7900x. I recently put everything in a ThermalTake Tower 600 case and the AIO I had was an older model Corsair that still used the larger commander core controller hub. It was the only thing plugged into it and was just more bulky then I wanted. My idle temps with it hovered around 50c. This is pretty typical for this cpu from what I read. After looking at several air coolers, I've decided after a few years of using AIOs, I wanted to go back to a more simple cooling solution. Many reviews and information I read said this cooler was one of the best for the price point. Installation wasn't to bad other than trying to get the screws onto the screw points on the mounting brackets, it was sliding around a bit with the thermal paste, but eventually I got it and secured it down. My front fan nearly cleared the ram set to its normal position, but I did have to raise slightly to clear it. It fits in this case with room to spare for sure. Checking idle temps its still around 50c, and running Cinebench I never saw temps go past 85c. With a little fan curve adjustments, it was around 82c. So this is performing pretty much as well as the AIO was, but at a petter price. Not to mention if a fan dies, I simply buy another. I didn't get RGB fans as I thought the all black looked nice. If your looking for a great air cooler, you don't need the $100+ ones, and you cannot go wrong with this choice either. Mounting hardware for AMD is straight forward and good quality. I did use my own thermal paste, some MX-4.
