Hands down one of the best affordable low-profile coolers out there. Quiet and effective, does a great job with my i5-12600K. Installation steps are pretty trivial, and I didn't have any RAM clearance issues on MSI PRO-B760M-P-DDR4 motherboard. I will complain about the thermal compound though. Maybe I got an "old stock" item or something, but the thermal paste I got was much closer to a "play-doh" than a "paste". It would form blobs/balls and wouldn't spread out on the CPU. Thankfully I had some leftover MX-4 from *six years ago* that still wasn't dried out, so I used that instead. I could deduct one star for that, but honestly it's a minor one-time inconvenience for something that's going to stay in service for many years.

I’m running this on a AMD Ryzen 7 7700X. I’ve had no issues with temperatures. I have been able to keep my fans quiet which is a huge plus. The mounting process was painless.

Reliability keeps my 9600x under 70° under load. Hovers around 50° in while gaming and even less in everyday tasks. Great for such a small cooler.

Even though this is the top-performing low profile cooler in its size class, I would strongly recommend undervolting your CPU if you're on AMD. Regardless, you should cap the fan to a max of ~1500RPM. Once all is said and done, this is a pretty good cooler. It cooled my 7700X in a Fractal Terra with no problems. Note for builders in cases with adjustable spines: make sure there's an air gap between the fan and your side panel to reduce turbulence.

Bought this to cool a Ryzen 5600 in an ITX case that doesn't have a lot of room for a cooler. It doesn't have a lot of airflow either, but that hasn't hindered its ability to cool the CPU. Granted, Ryzen 5's aren't known for being overheating monsters, but mine usually stays in the 70's unless under very heavy load, when it can creep into the low 80's briefly. I have never seen it throttle. The fan is pretty quiet as well. Installation is about as easy as any cooler (except for maybe the stock AMD cooler) can be. Just like with 90% of heatsinks and fans, you have to remove the brackets that come on your motherboard and replace them with the ones that come with this. After that, it's just two screws and clip on the fan and you're set. Thermalright has a reputation for excellent price to performance, and this is no exception. I have since bought another Thermalright air cooler for a micro ATX build and that one is also performing better than expectations.
