★★★★★On a desert island, I'd take the Q6 Max
The media could not be loaded. https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/F1HFR48FOVL.mp4 https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/611qpLsA8pL._SY256.jpg I'm just looking for an excuse to type more on this keyboard. I suppose I'll just write a review.
TLDR - Everything about this keyboard has impressed me. From the boxed presentation, to the cool smoothness of the hefty aluminum slab as I lift it, to the buttery smooth feeling of my fingers gliding across the thwacking keys. This is truly a special keyboard.
When I decided to purchase a new keyboard, I had several criteria in mind that it had to meet. I knew it would be expensive, that isn't the issue. There are too many keyboards out there that get the job done, but that's it. I miss the days of each keystroke being a substantial thunk. That was my fisrt tickbox. I want the IBM feeling back. Second, full 100% form factor. Third, it must be a solid, heavy, monster.
This board nails it with flying colors. Literally, actually. With fully programable RGB. Honestly RGB is not something I care about at all. However with this particular colorway it's kind of necessary unless you don't need to see keys ever. The blacked out look is ridiculously sharp looking, but requires backlight to see your keys. I'll take it, it looks way too good not to.
Out of the box the keyboard is fully functional. If you are happy with default settings there is nothing you need to do further. It's easy to flip through the different color schemes and to pair your devices. However, its also fully customizable through VIA. VIA is highly regarded in keyboard eccentric circles.
With the banana switches, it feels and sounds smooth as buttercream. I cannot express enough how much of a joy this is to type on. To the point I actually opened word and began writing random things just as an excuse to type more. That's why I'm writing this review now. I don't want to stop... Seriously though, if you haven't tried a quality mechanical keyboard it's impossible to put it into words. Anyone that works at a computer regularly should do themselves a favor and at least try this board. The best image I can use to illustrate is that typing sounds like you are rolling your fingers through a mass of marbles. It's an incredible experience.
Swapping between bluetooth, 2.4, and wired, is seamless. I keep my cable plugged into my workstation and just take my board elsewhere if I want to use it with another computer. Connectivity has been perfect and pairing is almost immediate.
I know, I'm gushing a bit. That isn't to say there is nothing wrong with the keyboard. I have a few minor gripes. First, the keycaps do not adequately illuminate and some don't illuminate evenly. Particularly some of the function and number keys. Second, most of the keys sound great, nearly all of them. EXCEPT for the backspace key. It sounds strangely pingy relative to the rest of the board. All of these things can be fixed. I haven't looked yet, but the stabalizers could maybe use more lube. Keycaps can be easily swapped out as well as switches if you prefer a different sound or tactility.
I also wish they included blacked out keycaps for "Enter" and "Esc". They are available on the Keychron website but you must purchase the entire set. This is a shame considering this is a flagship board. I would have also liked to see a better quality USB cable included, perhaps one of their aviator styled cables. These aren't big things but would seriously elevate the package.
Lastly for negatives, Keychron has seen a huge backlash lately due to defective boards. What I think happens is the switches detach or wig out due to flex in the PCB or something. It's widespread and the worst part is there is seemingly no resolution. It doesn't seem that it effects every board, but it's a substantial number for sure. This may be a lottery situation. I would suggest using the board a LOT within your month return window. The warranty does not cover replacing your board. Instead, Keychron will probably send you parts and make you fix it. So dealing with them is not something I would recommend.
Regardless - if you get a good board, I guarantee satisfaction. I've never typed on something that comes even close to the quality this provides. This is top tier and will be the standard that I compare everything I type on against from here on out. Keychron, you have knocked it out of the park with this keyboard, at this price. On sale, under $200, it's a no brainer. Immediate buy. The only boards I can imagine coming anywhere close to this are going to be moving into DIY group buy territory, where you put your board together yourself. As a consumer friendly plug and play keyboard for under $200, this is undoubtedly the nicest board that exists.

★★★★★High quality keyboard with a solid feel and sound
I purchased this board after heavily modding my Keychron K10 pro. This board sounds miles better right out of the box. There is virtually no case ping or vibrations, the build quality is top notch, the sound is smooth and refined (creamy with the stock bananas), the black finish is smooth and free of defects, the shine through keys are clear and consistent, and the key/backlight customization is simple with the web based launcher.
If there is a weak spot with this board it’s the stock switches. I replaced the stock bananas with Durock T1 blue lotus switches and it made me love this board even more.
If you want a heavy, premium full sized board that will check all your boxes, this is it. In my honest opinion, this board is well worth the money.

★★★★★Great support and easy repair
I got this keyboard because of how modular it was: Problem with keycaps? They're the standard fit, I can replace them. Problem with one of the keys not working any more? Yank out the switch and drop a new one in. Want to use it further away from the computer? Two different wireless modes.
This thing is built to last, it's an investment in easy repairs to keep it going if something breaks.
Then I got the cord (standard replaceable USB C cable) caught on something and it tugged on the jack the wrong way and from then on, it stopped typing if the cord was in the wrong angle partially disconnecting it.
This was frustrating, but it could still charge and I could still use the wireless dongle, but I decided to email support anyway because I was still (barely) in warranty.
I described the problem, they asked for a video, I shared it, and on their second or third email they shared a video of a partial disassembly and offered to ship me a daughterboard for the jack, even this is modular! Apparently support will sell the part if you're out of warranty as well.
The tools for the disassembly were included in the original package and other than the ridiculous tiny battery cable, it was an easy repair.
Obviously the rest of the board is super premium, great lighting, good quiet keys that feel good (you pick the switches afterall).
It's worth everything I paid for it and I'd recommend it to anyone who wants something that will last for YEARS.
