With most motherboards, I'm pretty much a 'all's well that works well', and that's certainly the case here. From the very first boot, this motherboard was worked very well. It's got fast wifi, despite my disappointment with the wifi chip being not being an Intel. All the ports are functional. The ethernet chip is widely supported by all operating systems. There's even lots of options for CPU power management, along with overclocking setting for RAM. A few notes and nit picks: --This is small, tightly configured board with lots of ports onboard, making everything difficult to access once placed in a case. Do whatever connections you can with the board outside of the case (such as CPU power and audio headers). --If possible, install your CPU cooler last, even better if you can install it after all things are plugged in and the board is mounted inside the case. I had this option but declined. Because of that dumb decision, I was constantly fighting to get around my cooler to plug in various ports and headers. Dumb move on my part. --Once powered on, the board take several seconds before it posts. It's nerve-wracking and one of the nit-picks I have with the motherboard. --This is more of a Windows issue, but setting up the OS after a clean install requires a work-around due to the network driver not being included in the Windows install and Windows requiring a network connection to advance in the setup. You must open a command window and enter a prompt then reboot in order to proceed with setup without a network connection. There's got to be a better way of doing this. C'mon Windows and Asus! --Make sure to install the drivers from Asus' support page as Windows Update didn't configure my Thunderbolt correctly. Asus' drivers fixed the issue. --I'm very happy with the power efficiency with the board. Using the board and an Core 7 Ultra CPU in my home lab/media server setup/VM setup (with 4 large SATA hard drives and 2 large NVME PCIE 4 drives), the idle power usage is an amazing 32-34w. That's nearly 30w lower than the idle usage of my previous 12th gen Intel CPU and motherboard combo with the same hardware. Very happy with that. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase. In fact, I'm a little confused why there's a "frequently returned product" notice on the Amazon listing page. Makes no sense to me. I don't think there's a motherboard where you're getting this much at this particular price point.

Very straightforward to set up, and I loved the clearly labelled extension cables that were provided to aid in installing all the cables onto the tiny mini itx form factor. It made the front panel electronics a breeze to install for one thing, as well as the fans. The SATA placement didn’t really allow for right angle cables, but that was fine. It comes with a right angle cable, but I had some spare straight cables lying around. The bios was pretty easy, but I was using this to update my old pc to windows 11 and I had to do a few things to make it work. 1. I had to update my hard drive from MBR to GPT. Luckily I had access to a laptop And was able to use mbr2gpt.exe with an external hard drive and do a quick conversion. 2. I had to use Ethernet to plug directly into the router for drivers and windows 11 updates. The native WiFi board didn’t have *any* windows 10 drivers available, even for download. Luckily I was able to get windows 11 installed quickly and easily, and then my WiFi started working fine. Probably could have also installed windows 11 from USB or used a USB WiFi instead, but that’s what I had available.

Ordered two of these; one has a deformed RAM slot and the other doesn't boot at all; no diagnostic lights, no fan spin, no nothing. Several builds went like this in the last few years. Sick of this can't-QA nonsense; I'm just buing laptops and mini PCs from now on.
