★★★★★This is the best rated, best in class power-supply on the market
This is the best rated, best in class power-supply on the market. These are basically rebranded Superflower PSU's, pretty much the best made. It puts out perfect, clean voltage with no noise or out of spec voltages. Also I run my PC 24/7 so I'm already seeing a savings on my power bill from the platinum rating.
The reason you want a nice power supply is stable, clean power produces a stable, crash-free system. At worst a cheap power supply will burn your house down, at best a crappy one will cause random and unexpected crashes. And I won't even get started on the atrocious efficiency ratings of junk PSUs. In as little as 1 years time you will end up giving the "savings" of a cheap PSU and this to your local power company, I promise you. And its not a big investment. My previous PSU lasted me 3 system builds before I upgraded, mostly to go from bronze+80% efficiency to Platinum 98% efficiency. For the laymen that means this power supply will convert 98% of the energy it consumes into usable DC power for your computer. That means less heat in your room, and lower power bills.
The fact its 100% modular is even better.

★★★★★I like it myself but I assume it won't fit everyone's ...
First PSU I recieved had a very loud electrical sound. Called EVGA immediately, almost no wait to talk to a real person. Top tier customer service! they sent out a new PSU asap and I was able to keep the buzzing in the meantime so that I wasn't out a PC during the time I waited for the replacement.
This PSU looks high quality with a non-standard finish (for a PSU) applied to it. I like it myself but I assume it won't fit everyone's tastes or style of build. Comparing to an older low quality (like 1/4 the price) PSU I had around the house, weight was maybe almost half and looking at the parts you could tell the difference in quality. The cables that came with the PSU are much higher quality than I've had with any previous PSU. They are easy to bend and will stay mostly in position on doing so which means doing proper cable management is easy enough. They also are longer than what I have been accustomed to which was a huge plus being I was upgrading my case also (Phanteks Enthoo Evolv ATX Tempered Glass) and it requires some longer than normal routes from PSU.
Fan stays off at low usage, my video card does not turn on fans at low usage, and my CPU cooler does not turn on fans at low usage. This means my computer makes zero noise when I am just browsing the web or watching youtube and netflix. This was a factor in my purchase.

★★★★★eVGA does it right yet again.
Well, it's a quality PSU and it ticks the right boxes. It's fully modular, easy to install, quiet, and hasn't shown any problems. It's the second eVGA PSU I've purchased. (The first one is still powering a different computer.) I'm sure it won't be the last.
I've been a loyal eVGA customer for over a decade. They impressed me with how they stand behind their products after they informed me that my dead video card would be replaced with a better model, as they had discontinued the one I bought. That was the only time, in my entire social circle, that I have heard of an eVGA product dying. And they handled it perfectly.
When I saw that they offer a 10 year warranty on PSUs, I was so happy to see it. I also have complete faith in it. I've also heard Steve from Gamer's Nexus talk about how eVGA puts out quality products with best in class warranty/support. To me, eVGA is the obvious choice for anything they make.

★★★★★BEST Power Supply I've Ever Owned!!!!
Amazing quality power supply! I've been using a Thermaltake 80+ Bronze for about 3 years. My computer started to just restart and shut down randomly. After testing all parts I came to the conclusion that it was my power supply. After looking at reviews, videos and all other Info I could find for 3 days I decided on the EVGA Supernova 850 P2 80+ Platinum and I am very very happy I did. The build quality is top notch, nice thick sleeved cables, comes with tons and tons of extra cables, extremely quiet and my computer works like new again. Also noticed less power draw from my outlet. I highly recommend this power supply. I'm running a i7 8700K, Asus GTX 1080 12 PWM RGB fans, bunch of rgb strips and more stuff and this power supply handles it all no problem. If your looking for a power supply get this one. Ots highly recommended by many many people and EVGA is at the top of the chain when it comes to their power supplies.

★★★★★Great PSU that fits my rig's needs
There's not much to say. It's a PSU and works great. I was going from an air-cooled CPU cooler to a liquid-cool CPU cooler as well as I wanted to overclock my CPU, GPU, and RAM. For that, I needed to have more power. EVGA is one of the best brands I've worked with and their Platinum series are some of the best PSU's you can get. As always, the unit was pretty straightforward and easy to install. It came with all of the necessary hardware and new cables. I needed to work on my cable management so I swapped out the old cables with the new ones and it worked out great. You don't need 850W if you're only running one GPU and aren't overclocking, but for anything more it's usually recommended to have at least 850W. Some set ups may require more power, but 850 was perfectly fine for my rig. The unit worked perfectly without any issues so that was a good thing. I've had some parts DOA in the past so I'm glad this one worked out well.
Overall, if you need the extra power I'd definitely recommend this PSU. For the price, it's a good purchase.
