★★★★★An excellent fullsize made to last
Within Keychrons huge lineup of keyboards, the Q serieswoukd be their flagship. When you pick one of these up you will immediately understand why. With a solid aluminum back and front panel, it's dense and has some serious weight to it relative to most other consumer boards. The packaging is great. Printed manuals/guides, extra windows keycaps, extra switches, tools for maintenance, and a USB cable. The USB cable is pretty cool in that it matches the color scheme of the board itself with something like an iridescent effect. It's a cool cable with a nice length, however I will say it is very stiff. I have to call out the great color. The aluminum anodization is pretty good with a deep, rich purple color. Everything here is aluminum. The knob, the entire case, even the toggle switches. It's a very high quality feel and presentation. I also like that the screws are easily accessible on the back of the board. These screws are appropriately hex heads to ensure you can't strip them out. Keycaps are also nice quality with double shot construction. This means the legends are not printed or etched - they are a separate layer of plastic embedded under the keycap. This ensures the legends are perfectly crisp and will never rub off over time. The KSA profile of the keys might take some getting used to. They are much higher profile than your standard cherry keycaps, or even OSA as found other Keychron boards. This is a hotswap board, too. So, you have a ton of options for customizing the sound and feel of this board. The Brown switches are pretty good and if you have prior experience with MX Browns you'll probably like these as well. I will say that these are tactile but, as someone used to heavier tactile bumps, these feel almost like linears because the bump is so mild. The keyboard sounds good though and the Browns definitely sound more mellowed out than something like the Bananas would. Functionally, it's basically plug and play. Sadly this board does not have 2.4 ghz wireless, although it does have Bluetooth and wired USB. If you need 2.4 ghz, you want to look at the Q6 Max which is the same board just with that feature added in. Other than that, you can flip between Mac/PC mode with a toggle switch. It has full per key RGB, which you can customize in the Launcher web software. This software is a major selling point for these boards because of how non-invasive and intuitive it is to use. There is no download necessary, it's entirely web based. Within this software you can customize just about everything, including macro creation. It's really useful. Quick summary - Pros: - Excellent build quality with good materials - Heavy - Lots of useful features - Sounds great with well lubed stabilizers - Hotswap PCB - Easy to customize every aspect of it Cons: - Expensive for a board with no 2.4 ghz - USB cable is quite stiff Overall this is a great board. It's expensive and it may be worth the extra $20 for 2.4 ghz, but it gets all the fundamentals right and looks good doing it. Easily a recommended board if you want to experience some of the best Keychron has on offer.

★★★★Beautiful and as-described with minimal need for improvement
I may have made the mistake of getting the keyboard with nasty brown switches, but that is on me and I always planned to change them anyways. Brown switches, including Keychron's, are just nasty feeling and sounding. They aren't quiet even though they are supposed to be, the have a scratchy feel when pressing, and they are unsatisfying to use. To get past that, they keyboard itself is quite pretty. Seems well-built, keys are nice (though hard to adjust to), and the software/lighting is reliable as usual. The reason it loses a star isn't because of the brown switches, that's on me as the buyer to know what I bought. The reason is actually the mode toggle on the back. I am paying a premium for this keyboard and, when I went to switch modes, the toggle feels like it was hastily fit into the keyboard with spare parts. It wobbled in all directions and the click of mode change felt just nasty. Keychron needs to make sure their products feel premium and they've done a good job on the frame over the years, but that switch has no excuse to be so bad. It's small, but noticeable if you have a habit of turning off devices when not using them. And good on them for including a thematic keyboard.

★★★★★Great sturdy keyboard!
I’m a big fan of this keyboard so far. The color is gorgeous and I like that it can be formatted for multiple OSes. I prefer thockier switches so I’m going to swap those out soon, but that’s just a matter of preference and not a slight on the quality of the keyboard. The wireless function works great, though there’s an included matching cable to use wired if you want. There are a lot of backlight options which I really like. My only caution is that this is a big heavy keyboard. I’m fine with that, but if you want something lighter this probably isn’t for you. Overall this feels like a really quality keyboard. $219.99 is a fair price for this level of keyboard and I’d definitely recommend it.

★★★★High-Quality Build, very heavy
This is a great mechanical keyboard. The full aluminum construction makes it feel extremely sturdy and premium; it’s definitely a solid, heavy piece of equipment that won't slide around on your desk. The typing experience is fantastic—the keys are quiet with great travel, and the overall type feel is very satisfying. Everything about it feels well-made and durable, definitely not cheap. The battery life has been reliable for wireless use, and the RGB lighting is a very nice touch, offering a vibrant look that really stands out. If you're looking for a high-end, full-size keyboard that delivers on both performance and build quality, this is a perfect choice!
